WBBSE has decided to reduce the WB 10th syllabus 2022 by 30-35 per cent for all seven subjects.

West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) has decided to reduce the WB Madhyamik syllabus 2022 by up to 35 per cent. The decision has been taken because of the ongoing pandemic situation due to which there was a delay in the beginning of the academic session. Teachers informed that no classes were held on school campuses for over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the board said that there will be 30-35 per cent reduction in the curriculum of all seven subjects which includes first language, second language, History, Geography, Physical Science, Life Science, and Mathematics for class 10 students who will appear in the Madhyamik Pariksha next year.

The decision has been brought to the knowledge of headmasters, teachers, and students of all affiliated schools.

The headmaster of a state-run school in Jadavpur said students were facing difficulties due to the suspension of classes on campus, and online classes were less than adequate for an average student to complete the entire syllabus.

In 2021, the Board had decided to cancel the WB Madhyamik pariksha due to the Covid crisis. The WB Madhyamik result 2021 was announced on the basis of the evaluation criteria released by the board. WB 10th Result 2021 recorded a pass percentage of 100. A total of 79 students scored 697 marks in WBBSE result 2021.
