APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) will start the registration process to fill vacant seats that have been left after counselling process from December 1. Eligible candidates can apply online on the official website at aktu.ac.in. Last date to register is December 15.ย 

The university issued a circular regarding the same. It read, โ€œAfter the counselling is over, pre-registration is to be done on the seats left vacant in the private institutions as per the academic calendar of the university like the previous year.โ€ย 

Candidates taking admission against the vacant seats are required to pay the registration fee. Those who have appeared for UPTAC (Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling), JEE Main 2022, or National Testing Agency (NTA) exams belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (OBC), and other states categories are required pay a registration fee of INR 1,000, whereas those belonging to Scheduled Caste (ST) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates will have to pay INR 500. ย

Candidates belonging to General, Other Backward Classes (OBC) and other states and have not take the above-mentioned exams will have to pay INR 2,300 fee, whereas SC and ST candidates are required to pay INR 1,150 for admissions. ย 

How to register for AKTU vacant seatsย 

  • Go the official website of AKTU, aktu.ac.inย 
  • Click on the registration link available on the homepageย 
  • Fill out the registration form by entering the requisite detailsย 
  • Candidates will receive an application number with which they can open the dashboardย 
  • Pay the requisite fee and upload documentsย 
  • Click on submit buttonย 
  • Save and take a print out of the form for future reference.ย 

AKTU to teach first-year BTech students in Hindiย ย 

AKTU recently announced that it will start teaching BTech first year students in Hindi. First-year engineering students will be given Hindi medium books from this academic session. AKTU Vice-Chancellor Prof PK Mishra said, โ€œThis will be for the convenience of Hindi-medium students. The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) is preparing books on several subjects for the first-year students. AKTU is also giving special training to teachers to teach in Hindi.โ€ย 

Teachers of all colleges have been directed to start preparing to teach BTech courses in Hindi along with English. โ€œTeachers teaching engineering courses will have to prepare the instructions in Hindi and English,โ€ said a university official.ย
