NTA releases the advanced NIFT exam city intimation slip to inform candidates about the exam city and exam centre in advance. where as NTA releases the NIFT admit card two to three days before the date of examination. It is the final document. 

NIFT Exam stage 1 will be held in bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates are required to answer in the medium as per the option exercised in the online Application Form.

NIFTEE exam will be conducted offline at the centres. There are 102 cities in which exams will be held. The exam will be held in Computer Based Test (CBT) for GAT and Paper Based Test (PBT) – CAT. Stage 1 has two parts: GAT and CAT.

The admit card for the NIFT 2026 has to be downloaded following the steps mentioned below:

1. Click on the admit card link on the NTA NIFT website.
2. Enter the following credentials
   • application number
   • password
   • security pin
3. On a successful login, the admit card will be displayed on the screen.
4. Download and save the NIFT admit card. 

Candidates must have the following documents with them on the NIFT 2026 exam day.

• NIFT admit card 2026
• One passport-size photograph 
• Valid Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving license, Passport, Ration Card, Aadhaar Enrolment Number, etc.)
• PwBD certificate issued by the authorized medical officer (if applicable)

Candidates can download the NIFT 2026 Admit Card using: exams.nta.nic.in/admit-card-for-nift-ug-pg.

NIFT Stage1 Admit Card is ssued to the candidates. Candidate can download the Admit Card from the NTA website and appear for the Examination at the given Centre on Date, timing and Examination as indicated in their Admit Card.

Under NIFT CAT, intuitive ability and power of observation, concept development and design ability of the candidate are checked. CAT checks creative and innovative use of colour and illustration skills.

The date of NIFT 2026 Entrance Test is February 08, 2026 for all UG and PG programmes.

The following credentials are required for NIFT 2026 Login

i. Each question carries 01 (One) mark.

ii. For each correct response, the candidate will get 01 (One) mark.

iii. For each incorrect response, -0.25 mark will be deducted from the total score.

iv. Un-answered/un-attempted will be given no marks.

v. To answer a question, the candidate needs to choose one option as the correct option.

vi. However, after the process of Challenges of the Answer Key, in case there are multiple correct options or change in key, only those candidates who have attempted it correctly

as per the revised Answer key will be awarded marks.

vii. In case a Question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks shall be given to all the candidates irrespective of the fact who have attempted it or not.

NTA will be conducting NIFT 2026 Stage 1 exam in 102 cities. This year, it has added Daman and Vapi to the list of cities.

Eligibility Criteria for B.F. Tech are:

• Passed the plus 2 level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination from any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Examination, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi/Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi with Mathematics. OR
• A pass grade in the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects with Mathematics. OR
• 3 or 4 years diploma in any branch of Engineering recognized by AICTE or a State Board of Technical Education after secondary examination/10th standard. OR
• Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to the 10+2 system with Mathematics. OR
• General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with Mathematics/International Baccalaureate (IB).

Candidates must have the following documents with them on the NIFT 2026 exam day.

• One passport-size photograph 
• Valid Photo Identity Card (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving license, Passport, Ration Card, Aadhaar Enrolment Number, etc.)

5. PwD certificate and UDID issued by the authorized medical officer, if applicable.
6. Personal transparent water
7. Sugar tablets/fruits (like banana/apple/orange) in case the candidate is diabetic
