DCECE Bihar Polytechnic 2026: Registration Started, Exam Dates, Syllabus and Pattern, Admit Card, Result

What is DCECE Exam?

Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination (DCECE) is a state-level entrance test for admission to Polytechnic (Engg - PE) / Para Medical (Matric Level - PMM) / Para Medical (Intermediate level - PM) courses offered in the various state-run polytechnic institutes. The exam is held in offline mode and there are separate question papers for PE, PMM, and PM courses. It is held for 2 hours 15 mins and the total number of questions asked is 90. Candidates can apply for the DCECE exam in online mode from the official website of BCECEB. The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) conducts the exam which is followed by an online counselling process based on DCECE marks.

Those who wish to appear for the exam must fulfil the DCECE eligibility criteria. The eligibility criteria are the minimum qualifications required for applying for the test. The Bihar Polytechnic eligibility criteria are different for PE/PM/PMM. Moreover, the eligibility criteria is specified for different parameters. The authorities will release the DCECE eligibility criteria in their official notification. Until then, candidates can check the eligibility requirements as per previous year's notification.

• Complete basic registration to create your login.
• Log in to the application portal with your details to fill the form.

Once registration is complete, the correction window is available from April 23 to 24. Students who want to make changes to their form can access the correction link. 

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board released DCECE 2026 exam pattern with its notification. The exam pattern for DCECE is different for the three course groups - PE, PMM and PM. Candidates can check the course-wise exam pattern below.

DCECE 2026 Exam Pattern for PE

• Duration: 2 hr 15 min
• Total mark: 450
• Exam level: Class 10 level

DCECE Exam Pattern 2026 for PM

• Duration: 2 hr 15 min
• Total mark: 450
• Exam level: Hindi, English and General Knowledge sections are of class 12 level. Science (Physics/Chemistry/Biology) and Quantitative Aptitude is of class 10 level.

The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board will release the list of DCECE 2026 exam centres along with official notification. Candidates who are applying for the exam, must provide centre list of their choices while filling the application form. The diploma entrance exam is conducted online across various districts in Bihar. It must be noted that the exam centre of DCECE submitted must be final and cannot be changed after submission. 

The details regarding test centre address will be mentioned in DCECE admit card 2026. Candidates appearing for the  Diploma Certificate Entrance Competitive Examination must report to the test centre at least two hours before the exam. In addition, they must carry their hall ticket along with a valid ID proof to the DCECE exam centre. 

Candidates have to download the DCECE admit card online. Only registered candidates will be issued the admit card to appear for the exam. To download the DCECE 2026 admit card, students require their email ID and password. After downloading the admit card, read all details on it and follow the instructions mentioned therein for the exam day. The admit card for DCECE 2026 will provide the exam date and time, the test centre address, the candidate's roll number and more.

DCECE 2026 admit card release date is May 15. 

In case of an error in the admit card: If there is an error in the DCECE admit card, then candidates have to visit the following address 5 days before the exam (from 11 AM to 3 PM on a working day) to get it corrected:

BCECEB will announce the DCECE 2026 result for PE, PM and PMM course groups separately. Candidates can log in to the result portal with their roll number and date of birth to check the DCECE results. The result is not intimated to the candidates via mail or offline mode. Candidates have to download the DCECE rank card on their own from the website. There is no provision for re-evaluation of the result. The scores and ranks provided by BCECEB will be the final ones.
