The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting JEE Main exam from September 1-6 in online mode across a total of 660 centres in India and abroad.Β The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 April/September session exam is being held for BTech (paper 1) aspirants on day 4 (September 5) in two shifts. The JEE Main exam forenoon session begins from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while the afternoon session shift will be held from 3:00 to 6 pm.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 outbreak, all the JEE Main test taker must read JEE Main 2020 exam day instructions and guidelines released by NTA. These fresh instructions were released along with the JEE Main 2020 admit card August 17, 2020. These are the mandatory guidelines to be followed by examination centres' and students.

The NTA also released a Self Declaration (Undertaking) form which is to be filled by JEE Main aspirants appearing for the exam. This Self Declaration form will have necessary details regarding students' health status and a recent travel history.Β 

The JEE Main examination centres' across India are following all these precautionary measures to conduct the JEE Main 2020 April/September session entrance exam during the COVID-19 pandemic which includes, proper sanitization, providing fresh face masks, social distancing, proper instructions for entry/exit, less contact, and assuring the safety of students from infection.

JEE Main 2020: Things required at the examination hall

Students taking the exam must keep a check on these below important documents to the JEE Main 2020 exam centre:

  • Duly filled and unsigned JEE Main self undertaking form for health status and travel history
  • JEE Main 2020 hall ticket/admit card
  • One passport size photograph
  • A valid Photo ID Proof (PAN card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph))
  • Simple and a transparent ball point pen
  • Personal mask and hand sanitizer

  • Transparent water bottle (if required)

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main entrance examination is conducted by NTA every year for admission to BE/BTech/BArch/BPlanning courses across the country. The JEE Main exam is held twice a year in two sessions, January and April. It is India's one of the biggest engineering exams and a gateway to take admission to IITs/NITs.
