JEE Main 2020 April-September Student Reaction-1

JEE Main 2020: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the April/September session of JEE Main 2020 from September 1 to September 6. With Paper-2 (for BArch) and Paper-3 (BPlanning) scheduled for September 1, Paper-1 (for BTech) will be conducted from September 2 to September 6 in two shifts (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM). Candidates who appeared in the exam can check the reactions of other students on the overall and sectional difficulty level of the question paper below.

Latest Updates:

Though there was a huge uproar to defer the exam, the government has not considered the plea, citing that any further postponement of the exam will delay  the start of the new academic session. The NTA has taken proper measures for sanitisation of students and maintaining social distancing across all JEE Main exam centres.

JEE Main 2020: September 4 BE/BTech Analysis & Student Reactions

Students appeared in JEE Main 2020 April/September exam can check the brief analysis of the question paper and students' reactions below:

  • In today's question paper, questions in the Mathematics section were lengthy that took most of the students' time to solve. Questions in this section were mostly from topics such as calculus, coordinate geometry and sequence.
  • Most of the questions in the Physics section were formula-based
  • Chemistry was the easiest section as compared to the other two sections

Jayesh: Paper was easy. Few questions in physics were tougher. The paper was tougher than the last time.

Richa: The difficulty level of today's question paper was moderate to difficult. More questions were asked from class 11 syllabus. Physics was the toughest section.

Shiv Sagar: Physics was easiest among all the three sections. In the Mathematics section, a good number of questions were from Calculus.

Anjali: Mathematics section was lengthy. More questions were asked from class 11 syllabus.

JEE Main 2020: September 3 BE/BTech Analysis & Student Reactions

  • The JEE Main 2020 September 3 forenoon question paper exam was of moderate level
  • For most of the students who appeared in the exam on September 3, Physics was the most difficult section among all the three
  • Students said that the questions asked on the Mathematics section were of moderate level
  • Chemistry was the easiest section of the September 3 forenoon shift question paper. The section also comprised had many direct questions from the NCERT.

Gautam: Physics was tough but Mathematics and Chemistry were easy. In the Mathematics section, questions from Vector 3D, complex number and Matrices were asked

Arpit: Mathematics paper was lengthy, Physics was of moderate difficulty level and Chemistry was easy.

Rohan: Overall paper was of moderate level but it was lengthy. There were formula-based questions as well in the test paper.

Sagar: Overall question paper was easy. Physics section was lengthy. Mathematics and Chemistry questions were easy. 

Sarthak: Questions in mathematics Required lengthy calculations. In Chemistry and Physics sections, a good number of questions were asked from NCERT.

JEE Main 2020: September 2 BE/BTech Analysis & Student Reactions

Students appeared in JEE Main 2020 April/September exam can check the brief analysis of the question paper and students' reactions below:

  • Questions of all the subjects were within the syllabus
  • Majority of questions in JEE Main chemistry subject were from NCERT
  • JEE Main 2020 April/September session question paper was almost equivalent to that of January session
  • Numerical questions asked in Chemistry were of moderate level. Mathematics questions were simple and Physics section was difficult.

Rahul: According to him, the Physics section of the question paper was difficult. Candidates who studied NCERT will be able to score good marks in the JEE Main 2020 April/September session.

Animesh: He said that the questions in the Physics section were tougher. For him Chemistry questions were easy. He also stated that the overall paper was lengthy.

Vansh: According to him, the overall question paper was easy. This year, JEE Main 2020 test paper had more questions from Class 11 syllabus.

Hitesh: He revealed that Mathematics was a bit tougher than other section

Yash: Paper was moderate, it was not so tough.

Aryan: Paper can be considered as easy. Mathematics questions were easy.

JEE Main 2020 BE/BTech Exam conducted by NTA

Paper-2 (BArch) Students' Reactions

JEE Main Paper-2 (for BArch) was conducted successfully on September 1 (First Shift). Candidates can check the students' reactions below.

The NTA has taken care that most students are allotted the first preference as their exam centres. The authority has also taken proper measures to minimise human contact and adhere to social distancing norms in place.

The majority of students who appeared in the exam said that the JEE Main Paper-2 was of moderate difficulty level. The Aptitude and Drawing section of the question paper was easy but Mathematics was tough. None of the questions asked in the JEE Main 2020 Paper-2 was beyond the Class 11 and 12 syllabus. Some students also said that Mathematics was a bit lengthier compared to the other two sections. Candidates can check the reactions from students below:

Aayush: The Mathematics paper was average. Two or three questions were from Vector 3D.

Amisha: Paper can be considered as easy. Mathematics was average. There were good arrangements for security and sanitisation. It has been taken care that not a single person touches any other one.

Rajat: Mathematics was a bit tougher than other sections.

Anubhav: Mathematics was tough. Questions from functions were difficult than other questions. 

Paper-3 (BPlanning) Students' Reactions

The Paper-3 (for BPlanning) is scheduled for September 1 (Second Shift). Students will be able to check the candidates’ reactions regarding the question paper soon after the exam is over and they come out of the centres.
