NTA will tentatively release the JEE Main 2023 answer key for Session 2 on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in in. Tentative JEE Mains answer key release date is April 19.

• There will be a JEE Main 2023 negative marking for both Section A and Section B.
• Four marks will be allotted for each correct answer and one mark will be deducted for each wrong answer marked.
• For questions unanswered and marked for review, no marks will be provided.
• As per JEE Main 2023 marking scheme, if more than one option is found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options and for questions where all options are found to be correct then four marks will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

The NTA will likely announce the JEE Main 2023 result by April 30. Registration for JEE Advanced 2023 will start thereafter.

Since JEE Main 2023 exam is held in multiple shifts and dates between April 6 and 15, NTA scores will be calculated corresponding to the raw or the actual marks obtained by a candidate. The NTA scores for each of the three subjects, mathematics, physics, and chemistry, and the total in BE, BTech of session 1 of paper 1 will be displayed in the NTA JEE Main scorecard.

The NTA scores for each of the candidates in total in BE, BTech JEE Main session 1 as well as for session 2 will be merged for compilation of results and preparation of the overall merit list and ranking. For those candidates, who appeared in both the sessions, the best of the two NTA scores will be considered. In case two or more candidates secure same NTA score, tie breaking method will be used by NTA.

Candidates must have a rank around or less than 3000 in JEE Main for admission to IIT Bombay. For admission to Computer Science, candidates are required to have a rank less than 100 in JEE Main entrance test.

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority, or JoSAA, is the conducting body of JEE Main 2023 counselling. The JoSAA counselling start date is not announced yet. Registration for the counselling will start after the announcement of JEE Advanced 2023 result.
