Rank: 10

Percentile: 100

State: Rajasthan

Q. Congratulations on your result! What was your first reaction when you saw your score?

Saksham Jindal: I was really happy and honestly a bit shocked. It took a few minutes to sink in—it felt like a dream come true.

Q. When did you decide to pursue engineering and aim for the IITs?

Saksham Jindal: I made the decision after Class 8. I realized early on that I had a knack for Mathematics and Physics, and that naturally led me towards engineering.

Q. Tell us about your academic background and family.

Saksham Jindal: My father is a pathologist and my mother is a physiotherapist. I studied at Om Prakash Jindal Modern School, Hisar till Class 10, and then continued with focused coaching for JEE.

Q. When did you begin preparing for JEE Main, and how did you plan your studies?

Saksham Jindal: I started serious JEE preparation in Class 10. I followed the schedule provided by ALLEN, and maintained a daily routine to stay consistent. I tried to stick to the plan as closely as possible.

Q. What were your strong and weak areas during preparation?

Saksham Jindal: I was strong in conceptual problems—understanding the “why” behind everything helped a lot. My weaker area was data-based questions, where accuracy and speed both mattered.

Q. Which study materials or books did you rely on the most?

Saksham Jindal: Mostly NCERT books and the materials from ALLEN. I didn’t overburden myself with too many resources.

Q. How did you manage school board exams alongside JEE preparation?

Saksham Jindal: For me, the two complemented each other. Both exams rely on a strong NCERT foundation, so time management was the only real challenge—and I worked on that constantly.

Q. What was your exam strategy during the JEE Main paper?

Saksham Jindal: I focused on completing the paper efficiently and used the remaining time to review doubtful questions. Time optimization and staying calm were key.
