JEE Main 2026 exam dates have been announced. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam date is January 21 to 30, 2026 while the session 2 exam will be held between April 1 to 10. Check the latest advisory on the documents required and the JEE Mains registration process below.

NTA Issues Advisory for JEE Main 2026, Announcing the JEE Main exam dates 2026; Application Form to Go Live in October

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the JEE Main 2026 exam date. In a public notice dated October 19, NTA has provided the JEE Main 2026 schedule for registration and the exam. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam date is January 21 to 30, 2026 while the session 2 exam will be held between April 1 to 10. The JEE Mains registration date 2026 for session 1 exam is October 2025 and for session 2 is last week of January 2026. 

The JEE Mains 2026 recent notification is an advisory on the form-filling process, which is scheduled to start this month. The notification mentions that NTA will increase the number of exam cities for inclusivity and to increase accessibility for engineering aspirants. The agency has also stated that special provisions will be made for PwD and PwBD candidates.

The advisory further highlights that NTA will obtain candidate details such as name, date of birth, gender, photograph, and address directly from UIDAI through Aadhaar authentication. However, since the details of the parents are not recorded in Aadhaar, applicants will have to fill those out separately during the JEE Main 2026 registration process.

In case of name mismatch between Aadhaar and the class 10 certificate, students will be provided an option to resolve it during registration. The authorities have directed students to refer to the NTA advisory dated November 6, 2024 for dealing with the discrepancies.
