JEE Main 2020 exam for April session is likely to be conducted in the third week of June as per latest reports. Read the details below.

JEE Main 2020 April exam is likely to be conducted on June 20-22 according to the latest news reports. Earlier, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) had shared by a tweet that JEE Main 2020 exam for April session is likely to be held in June due to COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown across the country. Multiple postponements of the JEE Main exam dates have created disarray in the academic schedule of NITs across India.

JEE Advanced organising chairman, Siddharth Pandey spoke to the leading daily newspaper stating that since JEE Main has been delayed, it has also adversely affected the schedule of JEE Advanced. Authorities will try to conduct the JEE Main 2020 April exam within the tentative dates and after two to three weeks of buffer period, JEE Advanced 2020 will be conducted.

The conducting authority has further explained that the decision has been taken keeping in mind the academic calendar for the upcoming semester which is also not likely to commence until September, he further added.

The challenges might increase once the counselling and seat allotment process for admission to NITs and IITs begin after the declaration of the JEE Main 2020 results. Candidates who have appeared in the January session will also have to wait for their final ranks.
