TNEA 2026 Registration [LIVE]: Last Date TODAY, Document Upload & Counselling Dates

Candidates can edit the TNEA 2026 application form until the last date of registration. The candidate has to fill up the details in the application form and they can give their preference of TFC for online Certificates Verification. The entered details can be viewed using the login information. The applicant can edit his/her information if necessary. Verify the entries made and if all the details are found correct then submit the online application on or before the last date. Applicants will be provided with a PDF document on successful registration of application through TNEA Application Processing System.

The TNEA 2026 counselling will end in September 2026.

BE/B.Tech admission in Tamil Nadu is done based on the online counselling process called TNEA. There is no state-level entrance exam for admission in Tamil Nadu. Candidates have to register and appear for the online Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions TNEA counselling held every year. 10+2 passed/appearing candidates can apply for TNEA counselling. Admission will be based on marks obtained by the candidates in the relevant subjects, namely, Maths Physics and Chemistry which will be reduced to 200. TNEA 2026 counselling process includes registration, assignment of random numbers, Certificate verifications, rank list publication, and finally the counselling. The counselling rounds will include steps like Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to the College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation.

TNEA 2026 general counselling will start in July 2026 and will end in September 2026. Candidates whose names appear in the rank list will have to appear for the counselling rounds. The counselling rounds include Choice Filling, Allotment, Confirmation of Allotment, and Reporting to College/TFC and payment of fees depending upon their confirmation. The selection of candidates will be based on the marks obtained in the prescribed subjects reduced to 200 (Mathematics:100, Physics + Chemistry 100) in the qualifying examination. The marks obtained by the students in the relevant subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by various Boards or Authority shall be equated with the marks obtained by the students in the same subjects in the qualifying examination conducted by the State Board of Tamil Nadu by adopting the method of normalisation.

TFCs, or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions Facilitation Centers, are established in selected cities to provide assistance with the TNEA counseling process. The certificate verification is also don at the TFCs. The list of TFCS withh their details are uploaded on the official website.

The last date to register for TNEA counselling is June 5.

Check below the steps on how to fill choices in TNEA 2026 counselling: Add/Remove Choices: Candidates have to choose carefully their preferences for getting a seat in a branch in an institution. Based on the availability of seats, rank, and community, candidates will be allotted. Candidates must prepare a list of choices in the order of preference to enter the choices in the order preference correctly and quickly. Choice Entry and Locking of Choices will be available for 3 days, 3rd day until 5.00 pm. All the above processes can be completed from anywhere, from your home if you have a facility or you can avail of the facility of TFC. Using this, candidates can create a list of branches and colleges. This choice list or preference list should finally be in the order of candidate preference. By clicking, add choices, the following screen will appear on the screen.
