Industry integrated B.Voc and D.Voc programs to blend learning with hands-on experience.

Medhavi Skills University (MSU) has partnered with Barbeque Nation to launch industry-integrated hospitality education program. This partnership will integrate academic instruction into a real-world industry environment, offering learners opportunity to earn while they learn.

Collaboration introduces work-integrated degree and diploma programs- a three-year Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) in Hospitality & Restaurant Operations, open to learners who have completed Class 12 or equivalent, and a two-year Diploma of Vocation (D.Voc) in Hospitality Operations, available to those who have completed Class 10.

Both courses are UGC-recognized and align with National Education Policy and Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) framework.

Set to commence in July 2025, the program will initially onboard 200 students -who will work as trainees across Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, with plans to scale up to other parts of India. Aligned with NEP 2020 and National Credit Framework (NCrF), it is designed to offer learners a blend of academic knowledge and practical experience. Barbeque Nation employees will also have the opportunity to enroll, enabling them to earn formal qualifications while continuing to work, thus creating a pathway for internal career advancement through structured upskilling.

Pravesh Dudani, Founder & Chancellor, Medhavi Skills University said, “We are delighted to partner with Barbeque Nation, a brand renowned for its people-centric culture and operational excellence. This collaboration brings skill-based education directly into the workplace, reinforcing our mission to build flexible, employment-linked learning pathways. It empowers individuals to earn academic qualifications while developing real-world capabilities that align with industry needs.”

Curriculum follows a 60:40 model, where 60 percent of learning takes place on job and 40 percent through structured academic sessions.
