The university, in a statement, mentioned that the initiative has benefitted a wide range of people, including 161 students and 32 faculty members directly involved in the research process. Among the key projects, a portable device capable of noting haemoglobin level using a blood drop has been created. The invention has been patented and is intended to play a critical role in improving accessibility to basic diagnostic equipment in rural and resource-constrained areas.

Another significant contribution that has been patented is the development of conserving the rare and endangered wild jamun plant.  The inventor successfully raised 120 saplings and developed a plant-derived pigment for cell labeling.

Among others, these research projects are a result of MoU signed between MU and RGSTC aiming to promote innovation, socially relevant research and praising the talent. The initiative specially targeted research themes relevant to agriculture, tourism, environment, sustainability, natural resources utilisation and the impact of climate change on farming, fisheries, horticultural processing, water management and more.
