The Consortium of NLUs have released the revised CLAT 2025 Counselling date. As per the CLAT Counselling dates 2025, the CLAT Counselling Registration 2025 will be done from December 09 to December 20, 2024 (until 10 pm.)

Candidates must note that the last day to pay CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration Fee  is on or before December 20, 2024 (10 pm).

Candidates can follow the simple steps given below to register for CLAT Counselling Process 2025:

• Login to your CLAT account.
• Click the ‘Make Payment’ button; (the Make Payment button will be visible only if you have been selected for the Admissions Counselling Process).
• Complete the payment of the Counselling Registration Fee;
• Wait till you see a ‘Payment Successful’ message before logging out;
• Candidates are advised not to wait till the last minute to make payments to avoid payment-related issues

Candidates will have to mandatorily provide their bank account information, which will be used to issue refunds (if any). Please provide valid bank account information which will be active until the refund process is completed.

A candidate who selects the Freeze Option in the First or Second or Third round of counselling must pay the remaining University Fee (after adjusting the Counselling Registration Fee and Confirmation Fee) to the NLU concerned by May 14, 2024, the Consortium announced.

An eligible candidate who has been allotted a seat as per their indicated NLU preferences will be required to pay a non-refundable Confirmation Fee of INR. 20,000/- (Rupees Twenty thousand only) prior to selecting a ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’
option in the First, Second and Third rounds of counselling. A candidate needs to pay the Confirmation Fee only once in the entire Admissions and Counselling Process. 

If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, accepts it, and is not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation/ counselling, they may ‘Freeze’ the seat allocation. In order to ‘Freeze’ their seat in the First, Second Third, Fourt and Fifth round of counselling, the candidate must pay the Confirmation Fee within the stipulated time in the Admissions Counselling as per the Calendar.

A candidate who selects the Freeze Option and pays the Confirmation Fee (in the First or Second or Third or Fourth) will NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of counselling. A candidate who selects the Freeze Option in the First or Second or Third round of counselling must pay the remaining University Fee (after adjusting the Counselling Registration Fee and Confirmation Fee) to the NLU concerned by May 14, 2025.

In order to ‘Freeze’ their seat in the Fourth or Fifth round of the Admissions Counselling Process, the candidate must pay the Confirmation Fee within stipulated time. A candidate who selects the Freeze Option in the Fourth and Fifth final round of counselling shall pay the remaining University Fee (after adjusting the Counselling Registration Fee and Confirmation Fee) to the NLU concerned by June 10, 2025. 

There will be five rounds of admissions counselling. If a candidate is not allotted a seat in a given round, they are requested to wait for the next round of counselling as this is a sequential process. The Fourth and Fifth round of admissions counselling shall be conducted in the month of May 2024 to fill-up the seats based on the vacancies that are remain vacant after May 14, 2025.

All available seats will be allotted to the next eligible candidates at this point. After the Fifth round of the admissions counselling process, the central admission process conducted by the Consortium will be closed. Member NLUs, however, may thereafter, admit candidates to fill remaining vacant seats, if any, by following their prescribed norms. 

If any candidate:

• Is not allotted a seat at the end of the Fifth round of the Admissions Counselling Process by the Consortium; or
• Has not chosen the Freeze or Float option and Exit from the Counselling Process, the Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded in full. 
• Where a candidate has been allocated a seat, and has chosen a Float or Freeze option, and then subsequently chooses to Exit or fails to complete their admission at the chosen NLU by paying their fees then their Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded  
• in full if the Exit option is exercised before 1:00 P.M. on May 24, 2025, or after a deduction of INR 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) if exercised after 1:00 P.M. on May 24, 2025.
• Where a candidate is allotted a seat for the first time in the Fifth round of counselling, and the candidate chooses to Exit or fails to complete their admission at the NLU by paying their fees, their Counselling Registration Fee shall be refunded in full. If a candidate is found ineligible by an NLU based upon the verification of documents/information provided, an amount of INR 5,000/- (Rupees Five thousand only) will be deducted and the remaining Counselling Registration Fee will be refunded. Refunds will be initiated to the same account from which the Counselling Registration Fee was paid.
• Candidates have to ensure that their given bank accounts are functional during the course of the counselling process and the refund process.
• Requests to settle refunds to another account will not be considered.
• The Confirmation Fee paid by any candidate shall be adjusted against the fees payable at the NLU where a candidate has secured the admission. In the event that a candidate chooses the Exit Option, or fails to pay the fees due at the NLU within the prescribed date, or is found ineligible by an NLU based upon the verification of documents/information provided by them, the Confirmation Fee shall not be refunded. 

All candidates who have selected the Freeze option in the first, second, third, fourth or fifth round of counselling must pay the balance of University Fees (after adjusting for the Counselling Registration Fee and Confirmation Fees already paid) as prescribed within the stipulated time in the Admissions Counselling Calendar.

Any such candidate who fails to pay their balance University Fees by the given date will be deemed to have chosen the Exit option and will forfeit their seat and the Confirmation Fee, and will receive a refund of the Counselling Registration Fee after a deduction of INR. 5,000/- (Rupee Five thousand only). In case any discrepancy is found in the documents submitted, the concerned NLU reserves the right to reject the admission of a candidate.

The Consortium will conduct CLAT 2025 Counselling Registration until December 20 (10 pm).

The seat intake for all participating NLUs accepting CLAT 2025 scores is as under:

The Consortium of NLUs has released the CLAT Counselling 2025 dates. The CLAT 2025 Registration dates have been revised. As per the revised counselling notification, the consortium will conduct the CLAT 2025 counselling registration window from December 9, 2024 till December 20, 10 pm.

During CLAT counselling, candidates will be provided the option to choose from three options; i.e. freeze, float and exit. Candidates can understand all options below:

Freeze Option: In case a candidate is happy with the seat alloted to him/her then they can freeze it. With this they won't be allowed to appear in the further rounds of counselling. If a candidate freezes the seat, it means that the candidate is confirming their seat at the allotted National Law University (NLU).

Float Option: If a candidate is not happy with the seat allotted to them and wants to pariticpate in further rounds of counselling they can select the float option. This option mean that candidate is accepting the seat allotted to them but is willing to pariticpate in further rouns of counselling for a better college. Candidate must note that in case they choose the float option and is allotted a seat in the next round then the seat allotted in the previous round will be forfeited.

Exit Option: During the counselling process, if a candidate feels that they don't want to pariticipate further, then they may choose an option to exit. If they choose this option, it means that they are withdrawing from the counselling process and they will not be considered for further round of counselling.

The invite list includes the admit card numbers of all candidates shortlisted for the counselling process. Shortlisted candidates will also receive an invitation for counselling via email or SMS. However, all candidates are advised to log in to their accounts to verify the counselling invitation.

It must be noted that the CLAT Counselling 2025 will be conducted through online centralised system. CLAT Admission Process 2025 is completely online. Candidates must note get confused with the same. Candidates who wish to appear for the CLAT 2025 Counselling must register for the same on or before the deadline.

Once the CLAT seat allotment 2025 is over, candidates will have to finish the NLU admission process to secure their seat. The admission process for 25 NLUs involves following steps:

The CLAT counselling fee of INR 50,000, paid during registration, is refundable. However, candidates should keep the following points in mind:

Candidates will be allotted seats during the CLAT 2025 seat allotment process. However, only those who have completed the CLAT Counselling 2025 registration will be eligible for seat allotment. Here is how the CLAT 2025 seat allotment process works:

1. Seats in NLUs will be allocated based on the candidate's CLAT AIR 2025 and the NLU preferences they have selected.
2. Candidates can choose to accept the allotted seat and pay the required fees to confirm their admission to the NLU.
3. If a candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, they have the option to upgrade their seat in subsequent rounds.
4. Candidates can also choose to exit from the CLAT seat allotment process if they decide not to participate further.

Candidates should note that the CLAT Counselling Fees 2025 vary by category. Candidates in the General category will need to pay an application fee of INR 30,000, while candidates from the SC, ST, and OBC categories will be required to pay INR 20,000.

The CLAT 2025 registration for admission and the counselling process can only be completed if you have a valid CLAT 2025 scorecard. Therefore, the scorecard is a crucial document. The CLAT 2025 registration process will begin on December 11, 2024 and will continue until December 20, 2024.

Step 2: Enter mobile number and password.

Step 3: Click on Login.

Candidates can follow these simple steps to add NLU-wise preferences in CLAT Counselling 2025:

1. Log in to your CLAT account
2. Click on the tab that says Update Preferences
3. Fill in your preferences based on your choice of NLUs.

Candidates can download CLAT 2025 results following the given steps:

• Visit the CLAT Official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in
• Login to your portal using the credentials such as Registered ID and Password
• Click on the Submit button.
• CLAT Score Card 2025 and Result will appear on your screen
• Candidates must then download the scorecard and save it for future processes
