ACJ Entrance Exam 2026 - The Asian College of Journalism (ACJ) conducts the ACJ entrance exam annually for admission to its two PG Diploma programmes in Journalism: PG Diploma in Integrated Multimedia Journalism and PG Diploma in Business and Financial Journalism. Candidates can apply for either one or both PG diplomas. The Asian College of Journalism conducts the entrance exam in three phases. The ACJ 2026 exam for the first phase is likely to be conducted in the second week of April 2026.

Candidates seeking admission to the PG Diploma in Journalism or BFJ must fill out the ACJ application form 2026 and appear for the ACJ 2026 exam. The Asian College of Commerce is expected to begin the registration process for the first phase in the first week of April 2026 at asianmedia.org.in/. The application fee will be around INR 2,360/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%). Interested candidates must fill out the online application form and pay the registration fee. To be eligible to apply for the ACJ entrance exam 2026, a candidate must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline. However, candidates awaiting their results for undergraduate examinations are also eligible to apply for the ACJ exam 2026.

What is ACJ Entrance Exam?

This entrance exam is an institute-based online examination conducted annually. Students can take the exam from their home by using a laptop or desktop with a good internet connection. It evaluates students in two parts - English Language Skills and General Knowledge. Once the students clear the test, they are called for interviews.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2026 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the ACJ Entrance Exam are simpler compared to other mass communication entrance exams. Check the ACJ entrance exam eligibility requirements here.

  • A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
  • Graduates in any discipline are eligible to apply for admission to the ACJ-Bloomberg Business and Financial Journalism program and the ACJ Integrated Multimedia Journalism program.
  • Candidates who are yet to take their undergraduate degree final exams and are waiting for their final exam results are also eligible to apply.

Students who clear the exam must provide their mark sheets and degree certificates to the Registrar within a week after the classes start. However, if the undergraduate exam results are delayed, more time could be given for the submission of the certificates. All students awaiting their examination results must submit their degree certificates by the end of March 2027.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2026 Selection Process

ACJ 2026 selection process consists of two rounds. The first round is a two hour online test with multiple choice questions. The second round is a Personal Interview. Students who successfully fill and submit ACJ 2026 application form can appear for Online Test. Those who pass this test will be able to appear for Personal Interview round.

The first round tests candidates based on their English and General Knowledge, including Current Affairs. The second round tests a candidate's skills required for selected course. Candidates eligible for second round must take all required documents with them to avoid getting disqualified.

ACJ Entrance Exam 2026 Application Process

Aspiring students have to follow the steps to apply and get admission to ACJ -

Step 1: Fill ACJ Entrance Exam Application Form

Candidates will have to fill out the application form for ACJ admissions 2026 online (on the official website of the college).

Step 2: Pay the application fee

The application fee for the ACJ entrance exam is INR 2,360/- (inclusive of GST @ 18%). Candidates applying for both programmes need to pay only one application fee. The fee payment can be made as an online transfer or sent as a Demand Draft in favour of “Media Development Foundation”, payable at Chennai. Students are also advised to ensure that their full names, email IDs, and mobile numbers are mentioned while making the payment.

In the case of online transfer, the applicants will be directed to the Online Payment gateway once the form is completely filled out. The applicants are requested to keep their credit card/ debit card/ net banking details ready for making the payment. The applicants using the payment gateway service are required to pay the convenience fee as prescribed by the service.

Note: SC/ ST applicants are exempted from the application fee, given that they provide their community certificates.

Step 3: Intimation Through Email

Candidates who successfully apply for admission to ACJ programmes will receive an email detailing the process of connecting online for the examination. 

Step 4: Appear for the ACJ Entrance Exam

After a careful assessment of applications, shortlisted candidates will be required to take an online entrance test. Candidates can take the test individually in their homes or at any place where they have access to a computer with an internet connection. Candidates applying for either or both of the programmes will be informed, within a week of filling the form, of

  • the date and time of the online test, and
  • date and time of the online interview to follow.

The Asian College of Journalism does not specify any syllabus for the entrance exam. In this exam, candidates are usually asked MCQs based on three subjects:

As per the official website, candidates have to appear for the ACJ entrance exam followed by an online interview. The ACJ entrance exam 2026 pattern is such that aspirants have to attempt multiple-choice questions in two hours. The ACJ Entrance exam will be a computer-based test.
