IIM Kozhikode 27th Annual Convocation: Degrees conferred to 1,318 students

The first day of IIM Kozhikode convocation witnessed 677 students from five full-time programmes receiving their degrees. These included the flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP), PGP in Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM), PGP in Finance (PGP-FIN), PGP in Business Leadership (PGP-BL), and the Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD). On the second day, 641 students from IIMK’s Executive Education programmes were awarded their degrees. 

IIM Kozhikode 27th Annual Convocation: The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) conducted its 27th Annual Convocation across two days, marking the first time in the institute’s history that the event spanned multiple days. The convocation saw 1,318 students graduating from eight different academic programmes.

Day 1: Focus on Full-Time Programmes

The first day of the convocation witnessed 677 students from five full-time programmes receiving their degrees. These included the flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP), PGP in Liberal Studies and Management (PGP-LSM), PGP in Finance (PGP-FIN), PGP in Business Leadership (PGP-BL), and the Doctoral Programme in Management (PhD).

Prof. Soumitra Dutta, Dean of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Radhika Gupta, MD & CEO of Edelweiss Mutual Fund, was the Guest of Honour.

Day 2: Celebrating Executive Education

On the second day, 641 students from IIMK’s Executive Education programmes were awarded their degrees. This included graduates from the Executive Post Graduate Programme (EPGP – Interactive Learning Mode), EPGP Kochi Campus, and the PhD in Management – Practice Track for working professionals.

Dr V Narayanan, Chairperson of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), served as the Chief Guest for the day.

Record-Breaking PhD Conferrals

IIM Kozhikode set a new benchmark by awarding 38 doctoral degrees — double the number from previous years. This includes 29 PhDs from the full-time track and 9 PhDs under the Practice Track, a distinctive programme tailored for working professionals.

Global and National Recognition

IIM Kozhikode retained its stronghold among India’s top 3 management institutes, as per the NIRF 2024 rankings. Internationally, the institute’s PGP programme ranked 68th in the Financial Times Masters in Management 2024, while its Executive Education programme secured the 70th spot globally.
