Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has launched the Post Graduate Diploma in Public Policy Management (PGDPPM) in collaboration with Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India.

This 45-credit, one-year diploma uses latest digital learning innovations to deliver the programme meant for mid-career professionals. Curriculum emphasizes on public policy, sustainability, technology, strategy and leadership.

Prof. Manoj Tiwari, Director, IIM Mumbai said, “the PG Diploma in Public Policy Management helps professionals tackle modern policy challenges with confidence. Through simulations, projects, and peer learning, participants build skills in leadership, crisis management, and innovation - preparing them for senior roles across government, business, and the social sector.”

The applications are now open for the programme starting in February 2026. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) and have a minimum of 5 years of work experience. Admission will be based on performance in the IIM Mumbai Admission Test (IMAT) or a valid CAT, GMAT, or GRE score obtained within the past five years, followed by a personal interview. Last day to apply is 20 December 2025.

Q:   Do I need to fill XLRI form separately for admission through XAT?
A:

Candidates planning to take admission to XLRI Jamshedpur need not fill a separate form. The XAT application form includes a field in which the candidates have to select XLRI course in which they want to take admission.

However, candidates can select only XLRI Jamshedpur as a preferred college in the XAT application form. There is no option of selecting other XAT accepting colleges in the application form. For XAMI member institutes or other MBA colleges accepting XAT score for admission, you will be required to register separately on their respective official websites when the applications open. Most of the XAMI institutes start MBA application process after XAT result declaration. However, keep a check on the admission schedule of your target college, so that you don’t miss the application deadline.

Q:   How many IIMs can I select in CAT application form?
A:

Candidates can select up to 21 IIMs in CAT application form for PI shortlist and admission. There is no cap on selecting campuses. Candidates must however, make an informed choice but first checking CAT cut off, course specialisation and fee of all IIMs and basis that select campuses in the CAT application form. It is best to choose a combination of top IIMs and newer IIMs so that you have wider options for admission.

Q:   How to select test centres in XAT application form?
A:

The option to select test centre is not there in the XAT application form, but candidates can select cities where they can appear for the exam. XAT is conducted in about 79-80 cities across India and candidates get the option to choose two cites for centre allotment. They have to make this choice in the XAT application form. In the XAT application form, there is one field in which you have to select the test cities, you can simply select the cities of your choice from the drop down. The exam conducting authorities will allot a test centre in the city of first choice to every student. In case, the seat get filled in the centre of a particular city, the seat will be allotted to remaining candidates in the city selected as second option. The centre allotment is done on first come first serve basis. Candidates must fill the XAT application form and submit it as soon as they can so that they are allotted a centre in the city of their choice.
