According to IIM-V officials, the signing of the MoU has been done in order to strengthen the courses of NIBM by IIM-V through the design, development, and delivery of programmes of contemporary interest for the students in Sri Lanka.
IIM Visakhapatnam Admissions 2021: The Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam (IIM-V) recently joined hands with the National Institute of Business Management, Sri Lanka. The signing of the memorandum of understanding was conducted in a virtual mode on Monday. According to IIM-V officials, the signing of the MoU has been done in order to strengthen the courses of NIBM by IIM-V through the design, development, and delivery of programmes of contemporary interest for the students in Sri Lanka. Director-General, NIBM, Dr M A Kulasooriya, and Director, IIM-V, Dr M Chandrasekhar altogether signed the MoU during an online meet.
Candidates interested in IIM Visakhapatnam Admissions 2021 must note that the esteemed faculty of the institute will be delivering the courses by using the NIBM world-wide platform (Digital Campus). As part of this MoU, the first programme to be jointly initiated by both the institutes is the one-year “Diploma in Women Entrepreneurship”. Also present on the occasion from NIBM were head consultancies Dr. Himendra Balalle, director administration Saman Rodrigo, and director finance Sivanjalee Yogaraja. The IIM-V team was represented by Chair (international relations) Professor Amit Chakrabarti, Chair (entrepreneurship) Professor Mohammad Shameem Jawed, Coordinator (administration) Professor Neena Pandey; Chair (PGP) Professor PRS Sharma, Professor Bishakha Majumdar, Chair (PhD) Professor Vivek Madupu, and Chair (executive education) Professor Anuradha MV.
Meanwhile, IIM-Visakhapatnam has become the third IIM in the country to sign up for the UN PRME—United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education, a network of over 860 leading business schools across 95 countries.
By joining the PRME community, IIM Visakhapatnam commits to aligning institutional strategies and operations with PRME principles, such as advancing values such as sustainability, responsibility, and ethics in teaching, research, and thought leadership.
