Tuition waivers awarded to 36% of the batch, with 50% of the inaugural batch comprises women

The Indian School of Business (ISB) has admitted its inaugural cohort of 130 students to the 20-month Post Graduate Programme in Management for Young Leaders (PGP YL).

ISB has awarded tuition waivers to 36% of the founding class, including 37 full tuition waivers and nine partial waivers.

The inaugural cohort, with an average age of 23 years, consists of exceptional students from diverse academic backgrounds, all of whom emerged from a highly selective and rigorous process. 32% are fresh graduates; the rest have less than 24 months of work experience and come from diverse sectors.  50% of the batch is women, and the class has representation from all major regions of India.

The inaugural cohort of students exemplifies academic excellence, as evidenced by their strong undergraduate grades and outstanding standardised test scores, with average scores of CAT: 99.1 percentile, GMAT Classic: 731, GMAT Focus: 677, and GRE: 327. Many also demonstrate strong extracurricular achievements, aligning perfectly with ISB’s reputation for attracting well-rounded individuals. The class profile reflects ISB’s ongoing commitment to drawing top talent from across the country.

Speaking about the first batch of the PGP YL, Professor Madan Pillutla, Dean, ISB, said: “We are excited to welcome the first-ever PGP YL cohort. Q:   Can I get direct admission to ISB Hyderabad?
A:

The admission process of ISB Hyderabad varies with each course. The same is as follows:

1: The first step for admission to every course is the application process. Candidates are required to apply online for the course.

2: At the second step, candidates need to qualify one of the required exams, among GMAT & GRE for PGP and FPM courses. CAT score is also accepted for PGP in Management for Young Leaders.

3: For PGP, candidates will also need to qualify GDPI round for final selection. ISB conducts its own entrance exam followed by an interview for Advanced Management Programme admission. The requirement may vary for different AMP courses.

4: For final admission, shortlisted students must pay the admission fee and confirm their seats.

None of the courses at ISB Hyderabad offers direct admission as per the official information released. However, students are advised to check the same with the admission office.
