IIM Ahmedabad has once again been ranked as the Best Management Institute in the country by NIRF for the 6th consecutive year.
The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has once again retained the top spot in the NIRF Rankings 2025 in the MBA category, for the sixth consecutive year.
Speaking on this achievement, Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Director, IIMA, mentioned, “At IIMA, we remain committed to nurturing management leaders and innovators who can address the challenges of a rapidly changing world. It is a matter of great pride for us to be recognised as the best management institute in India for the sixth consecutive year by the Ministry of Education’s NIRF 2025 rankings. This achievement also reflects the unwavering commitment of our faculty, students, and alumni towards academic excellence, impactful research, and meaningful contributions to society. Our strong focus on research and innovation continues to shape new ideas and solutions that influence both academia and industry, while reinforcing IIMA’s role as a thought leader in management education.”
The NIRF Rankings ranks higher education institutions across the country under several categories, with 17 categories this year. NIRF Rankings is based on the following broad parameters: ‘Teaching, Learning and Resources’, ‘Research and Professional Practices’, ‘Graduation Outcomes’, ‘Outreach and Inclusivity’, and ‘Perception’.
As per a statement issued by the institute, since the launch of the NIRF Rankings, IIMA has been placed at the top position in 2017, 2018, and then again from 2020 onwards.

CAT exam is conducted by any one of the top 6 Indian Institute of Management on rotation basis. Each of the top IIM conducts the exam after a gap of five years. The responsibility to conduct the CAT 2024 was given to IIM Calcutta. For CAT 2025, IIM Kozhikode will be the exam convening institute. IIM Kozhikode will be responsible for preparation and conduct of the exam without glitches, in collaboration with TCS for test labs and centres. The institute will design the question papers, exam pattern and guidelines, as well as manage the conduct of exam and preparation of admit card, answer key and result. Every candidate must carry a blue/black ball point pen and a few copies of their passport size photo to the exam centre. They must not carry any stationary item other than the pen. Candidates who have diabetes can carry fruits as per medical prescription. No other item will be allowed inside the exam venue. Candidates must not carry bags or valuables as there will be no arrangement for depositing while candidates appear for the exam. Candidates must also not carry notebooks or rough paper to the CAT exam centre. Any candidate found with an unauthorised item will be disqualified.
