MAH CET Counselling 2019: CAP Round 1 revised seat allotment postponed till August 28

The CET Maharashtra has postponed the revised seat allotment process of CAP Round 1 till August 28, 2019 for MBA/MMS following the Supreme Court order.

The official notification posted on the official website of CET, Maharashtra read, “In view of Diary No 27786-2019 at Hon. SC, the revised allotment of CAP Round 1 scheduled on August 9, 2019 is postponed up to August 28, 2019 for MBA/MMS”.

The CET, Maharashtra had earlier postponed MAH-CET 2019 Counselling (CAP) Round 2 for MBA/MMS indefinitely. The CAP Round was to take place on July 25, 2019. Later, it announced revised allotment of seats of CAP Round 1.

The CAP 1 revised seat allotment was to take place on August 9 but now has been postponed till August 28, 2019. The delay in CAP Round 1 seat allotment and cancellation of CAP Round 2 may leave many MBA students in a lurch as admissions at other private institutes are closing soon.

The MAH CET 2019 counselling process began on June 28, 2019 and the provisional merit list of candidates was released on July 10, followed by final merit list on July 13.

On July 18, the institute-wise seat allotment list for CAP Round 1 under MAH CET counselling process was released. The CAP Round 1 cut offs and list of candidates selected for admission under J&K candidature category was released on July 25 along with the provisional list of vacant seats for CAP Round 2.

So far, CET, Maharashtra has released institute-wise list of seat allotments of 318 institutes for both Maharashtra State and All India categories candidates. The merit list of students belonging to J&K category has also been declared.   

MAH CET Counselling is conducted for admission to MBA/MMS programme offered by over 400 management institutes in Maharashtra. Candidates who appear in the MAH-CET exam are eligible to participate in the counselling process. The exam was held on March 9 and 10 and MAH CET result was declared on March 31.
