MAH CET exam is of 200 marks and around 75000 candidates appear for it every year. It has been seen in the past that about 130+ marks convert into 99+ percentile. JBMIS, SIMSREE, PUMBA, Welingkar's have MAH CET cut off in 98.95- 99.99 percentile range.

Q:   Is it compulsory to attempt all sections of MAH CET exam?

It is not compulsory to attempt all the sections if MAH CET exam, but candidates must not skip a section all together as meeting sectional cut offs is also important. If you haven't answered questions of one section at all, it will reflect badly on the overall score.

Q:   For how long is MAH CET score valid for admission?
A: 

MAH CET score is valid for admission for one year only. Those who have appeared for MAH CET 2024, can seek admission to participating colleges this year only (2024-25 batch) Candidates who will appear in MAH MBA CET 2025, their scores will be valid for admission to 2025-2026 batch of MBA programmes only. Those who wish to take a break of one year will have to appear for the exam again.

It is good to take a break and appear for the MAH CET exam next year again instead of taking admission in a college that is not of your choice. If you’ve scored below expectation in the current attempt, skip the year, prepare for the exam again, score better the next year and pursue MBA from a college that meets all your parameters.

Q:   What is the eligibility criteria for MAH CET 2026?
A: 

For MAH MBA CET 2026 candidate has to be a graduate or must be in final year of their bachelor's degree programme. The minimum score requirement is 50% for General candidates and 45% for Reserved category candidates.

Q:   What after MAH MBA CET result?
A: 

After the MAH MBA CET result announcement the State CET will conduct common counselling for admission to about 300 colleges in Maharashtra, most likely in July-August. Qualifying candidates will be required to participate in MAH CET counselling for admission to participating MBA colleges in Maharashtra by filling the online counselling form. The MAH MBA CET counselling process will be conducted in two or three rounds and will be based on cut offs. Candidates will be allotted seat in the college of their choice, if they meet the minimum cut off percentile of that college.

The counselling will be held for mainly two categories – Maharashtra State candidates and All India candidates. Separate merit lists will be released for these two categories. To be eligible for MAH CET counselling candidates need to score more than 0 in MBA CET exam.

MAH MBA CET 2026 common counselling process includes online registration, document verification, uploading and confirmation of application form by candidates at designated Setu Suvidha Kendra (SETU) along with the print of online filled & submitted application form & copy of uploaded documents.Seats are alloted in MBA/MMS courses round wise basis candidate's college selection and MAH CET cut offs for the year.

Q:   Are MAH CET application form and counselling form the same?
A: 

No, the MAH CET application form and MAH CET Counselling form are different and candidates have to fill them separately. The MAH CET application form is valid for the entrance test only and the MAH CET counseling application form has to be filled by only those candidates who qualify the entrance test and wish to participate in the seat allotment process. The MAH MBA CET counseling registration form is released about 2 months after the entrance test result announcement. The candidates will have to fill the counseling form at the MAHA CET counseling portal.

Those who shall have filled the MAH CET MBA/MMS application form and appeared for the exam, will not have to pay the registration fee at the time of CAP. However, those who will be participating in MAH CET CAP through CAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT score will have to pay the registration fee of Rs 1000 (Rs 800 for registered category candidates).

Q:   Is MAH CET only for Maharashtra students?
A: 

MAH CET is not only for Maharashtra students. Candidates belonging to other States of the country can also appear for it. They can apply under All India category. The exam is conducted in 12 locations outside Maharashtra for All India category candidates.

Q:   Will I have to pay MAH CET fee again for counselling?
A: 

Candidates applying for MBA counselling through MAH CET exam will not have to pay fee. Those applying through CAT/MAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA will have to pay the counselling fee.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Exam was held on April 6, 7, 8 and May 9. Maharashtra State CET CELL announced 2 attempts for all candidates, which is optional. The exam pattern of both MAH CET exam attempts was same, i.e. 200 objective type questions to be solved in two and a half hours (no sectional time limit). The questions were based on Logical Reasoning, Abstract Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension.

MAH MBA CET 2026 Admit Card Dates

The examination body issued April session MAH CET admit card 2026 on April 1, 2026. The provisional admit card for May 9 exam was released on May 1. MAH MBA CET 2026 Attempt 2 admit card (final) was released on May 4.  

The MAH CET admit cards can be downloaded using login ID and password. The hall ticket will contain candidate details and test centres and cities. This year, the examination body also released the MAH CET city intimation slip before first attempt admit card to check the city in which they were allotted a test centre.

MBA CET 2026 Registration Dates

MAH MBA CET 2026 registration dates were January 10 to February 24, 2026. Candidates could register for one or both attempts in the same MAH CET 2026 application form. The MAH MBA CET application fee amount to be paid was INR 1,500 for Open category students and INR 1,300 for Maharashtra students. Fee was to be paid session wise. After the registration process was over, the examination body conducted form correction process in which candidates got a chance to make changes in the application form. Fields such as name, date of birth, photograph, signature, gender were editabe and could add second test option. The MBA CET 2026 form correction dates were February 27 to March 2, 2026.

A one-day registration window was announced for candidates to register for second attempt. Candidates who did not register for second attempt in the application process earlier, could register on April 24.

Yes, MAH-CET results for academic year 2026 have been released on May. Candidates who appeared for this entrance exam can get their scorecards from MAH-CET's portal. However, CAP round registrations at COEP, Pune are yet to be opened.

No, you cannot show MAH CET city intimation slip at the test centre for entry. Candidates will be allowed to appear for the test only if they present the hard copy of the admit card and photo ID.

In the MAH CET city intimation slip only the name of test city is mentioned along with candidate's name, DOB, application number and exam. No other detail is mentioned on it.

The purpose of MAH CET city intimation slip is to inform the candidates the city in which they have been allotted test centre. City intimation slip is released in advance to allow candidates to make arrangement for travel and stay on the exam day.
