MAH CET counselling 2026 will be conducted from July to September. The process will include online registration and round wise seat allotment. Maharashtra State CET Cell will release the schedule of CAP 2026 in July and conduct registration for a month. MAH MBA CET 2026 qualifying candidates will be eligible for the common counselling process.

MAH MBA CET 2026 admission process will start with registration for the exam. The examination body has announced exam dates (April 6, 8 and May 9), and is expected to start MBA CET 2026 registration anytime soon. 

MAH MBA CET counselling process, officially called MBA Centralised Admission Process (CAP) round will be conducted for admission to over 300 colleges and institutes in Maharashtra. What is MAH MBA CET Counselling 2026?

MAH CET counselling is conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission to MBA/MMS programmes offered by state institutes. The MAH CET CAP, also referred to as Counselling, is conducted for admission to about 300 management institutes including JBIMS, SIMSREE, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research and PUMBA. MAH MBA CET CAP round is conducted partly online and partly offline. 

Candidates who shall scored more than 0 in MAH CET 2026 exam can participate in MBA/MMS counselling process by filling the CAP registration form 2026 at the Maharashtra State CET website before the deadline.

Eligibility Criteria for MAH MBA CET CAP 2026

Admission through MAH CET CAP 2026 will be done under the following categories:

  • Maharashtra State Candidates

  • All India Candidates (including Jammu & Kashmir Migrant candidates)

  • NRI / OCI / PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

Maharashtra State Candidature

(1) The candidate should be an Indian National.

(2) The candidate must have passed 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognized university (at least 45% in case of candidates belonging to backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

(3) The candidate must have scored more than zero in MAH CET 2026.

All India Candidature/Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature Candidate

(1) The candidate should be an Indian National.

(2) The candidate must have passed 3-year Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.

(3) The candidate must have obtained more than zero score in MAH CET/XAT/MAT/ATMA/GMAT/CAT/CMAT.

NRI/OCI/PIO Foreign National, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries

(1) The candidate should have passed three-year duration Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks or equivalent, awarded by the University recognised by UGC or AIU.

(2) Any other criterion declared from time to time by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra as defined under the Act.

How to Register for MAH MBA CET CAP 2026?

To participate in the MAH MBA CET 2026 CAP, candidates will be required to register and create an account on the official website. Candidates who have appeared for the CET exam have to also fill the CAP form. Given below are the steps for MBA CAP round 2026 registrations:

  • Open the official website of MAH MBA CET CAP 2026

  • Click on 'new candidate registration/registered candidate login'

  • Enter your name, country, state, email ID, phone number and a password

  • A unique ID (application ID) will be generated and sent in email

  • Use this unique ID to authenticate registration

  • Log into the portal to fill the MAH MBA CET CAP form 2026

  • Fill the online CAP form available on the official website using the same login credentials

  • Upload scanned copies of required documents (passport size photo and signature in recommended dimension)

  • Take the printout of the duly filled application form and send it by speed/registered post or visit the Facilitation Centre for verification of documents and confirmation of application submission

  • Once the CAP application form is verified by the competent authority, the candidates will receive a fee acknowledgement slip

MAH MBA CET CAP Round Process 2026

MAH MBA CET CAP round 2026 includes online registration, filling the application form, verifying documents, application confirmation, release of provisional merit list, the release of final merit list and confirmation of admission. Check below the process of MAH CET counselling 2026:

The MAH MBA CET CAP round is explained below in three stages:

Stage 1: MBA CAP Round 2026 registration and document verification

The registration process of MAH MBA CET Counselling is online. Candidates have to fill up the form at mahacet.org website and get documents verified at e-scrutiny and physical scrutiny centres as per slot available. After the application form has been accepted by the admission cell, your candidature will be assessed.

Stage 2: Announcement of provisional merit list

After the process of application form submission, the provisional merit list of selected candidates and MBA CET cut offs will be announced. Candidates will have to submit their grievances (if any) along with required documents at the same Facilitation Centre where they had gotten their application form verified. After this process, the final merit list of MBA CET CAP round 2026 will be declared.

Stage 3: Announcement of final merit list

The final merit list will be released online on the official website, indicating seats available for CAP rounds. The MBA CAP round 2026 will be conducted online and the seats will be allotted through a computerized process. Candidates who will be allotted seats in a particular CAP round will be required to report at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for verification of documents and confirmation of admission. Following confirmation of admission at the ARC, the candidates will be required to visit the allotted college to complete the admission process.

Q:   How many MBA CET CAP rounds are there?
A: 

There are usually 3 CAP rounds for MBA admission through MAH CET. The MBA CAP rounds are conducted within a gap of a week and include the following:

·       Announcement of provisional merit list basis CAP form registration

·       Submission of grievances (if any) along with required documents at the Facilitation Centre

·      Announcement of final merit list

·       Reporting at the Admission Reporting Centre (ARC) for verification of documents and confirmation of admission.

Q:   What is MAH MBA CET CAP fees?
A: 

MAH MBA CET CAP fee is 0 for candidates who will be applying through MAH CET score. For candidates applying through CAT/CMAT/XAT/ATMA/MAT/GMAT, the fee amount to pay is INR 1200 (INR 1000 for SC/ST/PwD). NRI/PIO/OCI/Foreign Nationals have to pay INR 10,000 as MAH CET CAP fees. Candidates must note that the fee amount is non refundable.

MAH MBA CET CAP Round 2026: Key Points to Remember for Registration

Here are a few points to remember while filling the CAP registration form 2026 at the Maharshtra State CET Cell website. 

  • Candidates are allowed to select minimum one and maximum 300 choices of institutes and courses.

  • After confirmation of Option Form, no changes will be allowed in it.

  • If candidates fail to confirm the online application by E-Scrutiny center, then their forms will be rejected.
  • Once the candidate is allotted the seat as per his/her first preference, he/she will have to accept that allotment. Participation in subsequent CAP rounds will not be allowed.

  • If they haven't got a seat in the college of their preference, they can exercise 'freeze' option and wait for Round 2 allotment.
  • ‘The Seat Acceptance Fee (non-refundable) is INR 1,000 for all admitted candidate.

Information You Can Edit in the MAH MBA CAP Form 2026

The candidates will be allowed to edit only certain sections in the MAH MBA CET CAP form 2026 at the time of scrutiny of documents. Given below is the list:

  • Change of gender
  • MAH MBA CET score (change in merit number due to an increase in marks will not be allowed)
  • Caste/sub-caste/the category of backward class but the change from General to Reserved category is not permitted. However, a reserved category candidate will be allowed to change his/her category from Reserved to General upon his failure to submit requisite documents
  • Removal of Reserved category status like Minority, Disability, Defence, etc. in view of failure of submission of supporting document
  • Change in Type of Candidature
  • Change in Home University
  • Removal of Tuition Fee Waiver Seats (TFWS) in case of failure of submission of supporting documents
  • Change in Qualification

Q:   If I get a seat in MBA CET CAP round I, will I be allowed to wait for CAP round 2?
A: 

If you are selected for admission in the MAH CET CAP round I but if it is not your first preference and you do not accept the offer, then you can wait for round 2 merit list release. You can choose the option 'float' in the form to let go the offer and wait for round 2. If you're allotted a seat in the college of your first preference in Round I or if you accept the seat, you will not be eligible for subsequent rounds of CAP process.

Q:   How many colleges can I select in MAH CET counselling form?
A: 

There is no cap on selection colleges in the MAH CET counselling form. One can choose as many colleges as they want. However, it is advised to choose the colleges as per your preference, location, fees and MBA CET score. MAH CET cut offs refer to the percentile on the basis of which seats are allotted to candidates during the counselling process.
