The last date of applying for TANCET 2021 has been extended till February 16, 5 pm. The original deadline for TANCET 2021 was February 12. The last date for checking the TANCET 2021 final application status has also been extended from February 17 to February 23. Rest of the dates of the TANCET 2021 events have remained the same. According to Anna University, the exam conducting body, the total number of applications received for the TANCET 2021 exam till February 11 is 29,074, out of which the number of MBA applications is the highest, which is 16,538. The number of applications received for MCA and MTech/ME/MArch/MPlan is 5,272 and 7264 respectively. TANCET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying for TANCET 2021, candidates should ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria of the exam. The stream-wise eligibility criteria for TANCET is given below.

MBA

• Candidates should be graduates in any discipline from a recognised institute with minimum 50 per cent aggregate

• Candidates belonging to reserved category will qualify with 45 per cent aggregate

MCA

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in BCA or BSc (Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent) with minimum 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for reserved category candidates)

• Candidates should have studied Mathematics in Class 11 and Class 12 or at Graduation and obtained minimum 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category candidates)

ME/MArch/MTech/MPlan

• Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Architecture or Engineering from a recognised institute with minimum 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for reserved category candidates)

• Candidates with BPharm degree or a Master’s degree in a relevant branch of Science or Arts will also be eligible

Prerequisites for Filling TANCET 2021 Application Form

Prior to filling the TANCET 2021 application form, applicants should keep the following details handy:

• Roll Number and year of passing of SSLC or Class 10 Board Exam

• Roll Number and year of passing of HSLC or Class 12 Board Exam

• Coloured passport size photograph of 200 pixels to 300 pixels height and 150 pixels to 300 pixels width

• Signature in black or blue ink in 60 pixels to 80 pixels height and 150 pixels to 200 pixels width

• Category Reservation Certificate (if applicable)

The application process for TANCET 2021 is completely online. Candidates have to visit the official website and follow the steps given below:

• Click on the tab ‘TANCET Registration’

• Enter personal details such as name, contact information, date of birth, nativity, community, SSLC Roll Number and password

• Pay the application fee

• Login credentials will be generated and candidates will be conveyed the same through email and SMS

• Upon logging in, the TANCET 2021 application form will be available

• Fill the form with requisite details in terms of personal and academic information

• Upload photograph and signature in 51 mm X 51 mm resolution in coloured and JPG/JPEG format

The application fee is Rs 600 for General category candidates and Rs 300 for reserved category candidates. The fee has to be paid in online mode via Credit/Debit Card or Net Banking.

TANCET 2021 will be conducted in paper-pencil based mode for a duration of two hours in 15 cities across Tamil Nadu.
