TANCET 2023: Anna University has commenced the TANCET 2023 registration on February 1. Candidates aspiring for MBA or MCA admission must apply for TANCET 2023 online on the official website (tancet.annauniv.edu). Anna University has also released the TANCET 2023 exam dates. MBA and MCA exams will be conducted on March 25 in the morning and afternoon shift, respectively. The ME/MTech/MArch/Mplan courses will be conducted on March 26 with a new name as CEETA PG. Earlier, the exam was to be conducted on February 25 and 26. With the new exam dates, change in name and release of the registration process, Anna University has also hiked TANCET application fee. Reserved category candidates have to pay INR 500, whereas UR category candidates have to pay INR 1,000 as the application fee. What is TANCET?
Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test, abbreviated as TANCET, is an admission test conducted to fill PG seats, across courses, in colleges of Tamil Nadu. Anna University conducts the state-level entrance exam for various PG courses, including MTech/ MArch/ MPlan/ ME, MBA and MCA programmes. More than 200 colleges situated in Tamil Nadu accept TANCET scores for admission. Every year, more than 40,000 MBA aspirants appear for the TANCET to compete for more than 15,000 seats offered by several institutes of Tamil Nadu. TANCET, conducted offline, comprises 100 objective-type questions to be answered within two hours. DTE, Chennai, administers the TANCET counselling for MBA admission of qualified candidates. TANCET 2023 MBA Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor's degree with a 50 per cent aggregate (45 per cent for reserved categories) marks a candidate eligible. Candidates are eligible if they have completed education in any of the following patterns:
- 10 + 2 + 3 / 4 /5 years pattern
- 10 + 3 years diploma + 3 years pattern
- 10 + 2 + B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. / B.Pharm.
- 10 + 2 + AMIE
- 10 + 3 years diploma (awarded by the State Board of Technical Education) + AMIE
TANCET 2023 MCA Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree of a minimum of three years duration in BCA or B.Sc (IT/ CSE/ equivalent). Or, the candidate who holds a three-year bachelor's degree other than those discussed here and have studied Mathematics at 10+2 level or Graduation level are also eligible. Candidates must have obtained a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent in the qualifying exam (45 per cent for reserved category candidates). Candidates are eligible if they have completed their education in any of the following patterns:

Candidates must pass a bachelor's degree or equivalent with 50 per cent (45 per cent for reserved category candidates). Only the candidates who have completed bachelors with any of the following degrees are eligible:
- B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Arch. Degree Programmes
- B.Pharm.
- 10 + 2 + AMIE
