TSICET 2020 Counselling Process to Commence from December 6

The Telangana State Council for Higher Education (TSCHE) has announced the TSICET 2020 counselling. The process will commence from December 6 and will conclude on December 29. The TSICET 2020 counselling process will include payment of Processing Fee, Slot Booking for Certificate Verification, Certificate Verification and Option Exercise. Candidates who have qualified the TSICET 2020 and fulfil the other eligibility criteria will be able to participate in the counselling process for admission to MBA and MCA courses at the institutes in Telangana.

Before looking at the important dates and process in detail, let us check the eligibility criteria for TSICET 2020 counselling.

TSICET 2020 Counselling Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should have qualified for TSICET 2020

  • They must have obtained minimum 50 per cent (General category) and 45 per cent (Reserved category) aggregate in bachelor’s degree or equivalent

  • Minority candidates (Muslim/Christian) who did not appear or qualify for TSICET 2020 but have secured 50 per cent (Open category) and 45 per cent (for others) aggregate in bachelor’s degree or equivalent exam will be considered for the remaining seats in respective minority colleges, if any, after exhausting all the qualified Minority candidates of TSICET-2020.

TSICET 2020 Admission Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates should be Indian citizens and should belong to Telangana or Andhra Pradesh

  • For obtaining scholarships, the age limit of General category candidates is 30 years and that of the Reserved category candidates is 34 years

  • For MBA course admission, candidates should have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or institute any stream, except Oriental languages

  • For MCA course admission, candidates should have passed BCA/BSc / BCom/ BA with Mathematics at Class 11 and 12 or at graduation

  • Candidates who have pursued graduation in Distance learning mode should have a degree or diploma recognised by Joint Committee of UGC, AICTE and DEC/DEB

TSICET 2020 Counselling Process

The TSICET 2020 counselling includes steps like registration, processing fee payment, slot booking and certificate verification. The details of each step is mentioned below:

Registration and Processing Fee Payment

  • Candidates have to visit the official website tsicet.nic.in and click on the link ‘Payment of Processing Fee’

  • Complete the registration process by entering TSICET 2020 Registration number, TSICET 2020 Hall Ticket number and date of birth

  • They have to enter other requisite details in the registration form such as mobile number, certificates of reservation (if applicable), etc. Once registered, changing of mobile number is not permitted.

  • The processing fee of Rs 1,200 (General category) and Rs 600 (SC/ST) has to be paid through Credit/Debit Card and Netbanking modes

Slot Booking for Certificate Verification

  • Candidates have to book slots (date, time and venue) within the stipulated schedule

  • Special category candidates i.e., (NCC) National Cadet Corps / (PHC) Physically Challenged / (CAP) Children of Armed Forces Personnel / Sports (SG)/ Anglo-Indian need to book Slot duly selecting the Help Line Center of GOVERNMENT POLYTECHNIC, MASAB TANK, HYDERABAD to attend for certificate verification

Certificate Verification

The following certificates will be verified during the TSICET 2020 Counselling process:

  • TSICET 2020 Rank Card

  • TSICET 2020 Hall Ticket

  • Aadhar Card

  • Class 10 mark sheet

  • Class 12 mark sheet cum pass certificate

  • Graduation mark sheet and pass certificate

  • Study or Bonafide Certificate from Class 9 to Degree

  • Transfer Certificate (T.C)

  • Income Certificate issued on or after January 1, 2020, by a competent authority, if applicable.

  • Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority, if applicable

  • Residence Certificate of candidate for a period of seven years preceding to qualifying examination in case where the candidate has no institutionalised education

  • Category certificate (if applicable)

  • Candidates who do not originally belong to Telangana or Andhra Pradesh have to furnish Residence Certificate or Employer Certificate

TSCHE has stated the following safety norms which candidates need to abide during the Certificate Verification process of TSICET 2020 Counselling:

  • Candidates must keep wearing a mask throughout the duration spent during the certificate verification process

  • Candidates must maintain social distancing

  • Help Line Centre (HLC) authorities will monitor candidates’ temperature through thermal scanners before allowing their entry inside

  • Candidates have to enter the centre alone and parents/guardians will not be allowed to accompany them inside the centre

  • Candidates have to carry their personal hand sanitizer and water bottles

Exercising Options

  • Once the Certificate Verification process is over, login ID will be sent to candidates’ registered mobile numbers

  • They have to download the list of colleges and take Manual Option Entry Form from the website

  • They have to select the list of colleges and courses

  • After registration, their login details will be generated, through which they have to login and enter the college and course options they want to take admission in

  • Candidates can exercise and modify the options any number of times within the scheduled dates

Seat Allotment

Candidates have to check the seat allotment details by visiting the official website and download the Provisional Allotment order by logging in. To confirm the allotment, candidates have to pay the tuition fee within the stipulated schedule and self-report through online system in candidates login and take admission number to confirm the provisionally allotted seat. They are advised to take a print out of each and every documents and orders for future reference.

TSICET 2020 was conducted on September 30 and October 1. The result was declared on November 2. As many as 41,506 candidates qualified the exam out of 45,975 test-takers.
