Q:   How to score high in TSICET exam? Should I practise TS ICET mock tests?
A:
To score high in TSICET exam a candidate must follow an approach to attempt the questions for which he/she knows the answer, and guess the question for which he/she doesn't know the answer. Since there is no negative marking, candidates must attempt all questions. In the speed-based test, one must aim to answer the questions as soon as possible. Coming to TSICET, a test taker has to answer each question in less than 45 seconds to complete the exam on time. To score high in TSICET candidates will have to work on their speed as well as accuracy. Speed and accuracy can be improved by practising previous years papers and mock tests. While answering questions, candidates must not stick on one question for more than 40 seconds. After answering all the questions in 40 seconds or less, candidates will still have five to ten minutes to review the responses.
Q:   How many shifts are there on TG ICET exam day?
A:

Candidates will find the details regarding the exam date, shift and test centre in their hall tickets.

Q:   Which section is the easiest in TSICET exam?
A:

Telangana ICET has questions from three sections, namely Analytical Ability, Mathematical Ability, and Communication Ability. Besides the difficulty standards, TSICET exam's Communication Ability section has the least questions, that is 50 questions. The Communication Ability section is further divided into four sub-sections, which include 1) Vocabulary 2) Business and Computer Terminology 3) Functional Grammar 4) Reading Comprehension.
Q:   Is TSICET exam tough?
A:
As per the past year's trends, TSICET exam is considered easy to moderate in terms of difficulty standards. Candidates have to work on their speed as well as accuracy to score well in TSICET. Wroking on time management for TSICET exam shall require the test takers to participate in mock test series. Additionally, candidates would have to practice using the past question papers to get a fair idea of the exam structure, important topics, weightage of topics, and more. A candidate who is aware of basic exam details and has a good hold on the speed can score well in TSICET exam with minimal preparation.

Commonly asked questions
Q:   Which section of the TG ICET exam is the toughest?
A:

In the Telangana ICET exam, the Mathematical Ability section is usually considered the toughest among all three sections. This section typically includes the questions that are not only conceptually challenging but are time consuming. With TS ICET exam being a time sensitive exam having less than 1 minute for each question, solving Mathematical Ability section becomes difficult. The time management typically raises the difficulty bar for the Mathematical Ability section.

The difficulty level of a section can also vary for individuals based on their preparation and conceptual understanding of a concept. A candidate may find Communication Ability to be difficult, if he/she doesn't have a good hold on the language.

Q:   What software does TGCHE use for the ICET exam?
A:

TG ICET is conducted in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. The specific software platform used for administering the exam has not been publicly disclosed by the TGCHE. To help candidates adapt to the test software, TGCHE facilitates candidates with the official mock tests on the TS ICET website. These mock tests simulate the actual test environment, allowing candidates to practice navigating through questions, using on-screen tools, and managing their time effectively. However, the mock tests on the website may not have the same difficulty level that is to be followed in the actual exam.

Q:   Do I have an option to appear for TS ICET exam offline?
A:

No, the TS ICET exam is not conducted in offline mode. TGCHE conducts the Telangana ICET exam as a Computer-Based Test (CBT). Candidates must download their hall tickets online from the official website and carry the same at the exam centre. The hall ticket  will mention details that help candidates to login and take the test online on the systems at the test centre. Candidates are not permitted inside the exam centre if they fail to carry the printed copy of the admit card.

Q:   Will I be given calculators to solve questions in TS ICET exam's Mathematical Ability section?
A:

No, TGCHE does not permit calculators during the Telangana ICET exam. Therefore, candidates have to solve questions in the Mathematical Ability section on their own. As per the official exam guidelines, calculator or any other electronic device is prohibited inside the TS ICET exam hall. Besides calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, and similar gadgets are also prohibited to be carried inside the exam centre.

Candidates will get rough sheets inside the exam centre to aid their calculation process. Candidates preparing for the exam must focus on building shortcuts for calculations.
