XLRI announced XAT result 2021 today for admission to the upcoming PGDM batch. Upon the release of XAT result some students were elated while some felt they could have done better. According to reports, a number of test takers have score 99+ percentile in XAT exam 2021.

XAT 2021 exam, which was conducted on January 3 at various centres across India, was of moderate difficulty level. Overall the XAT 2021 question paper was easier than previous years. Check out the list of some of the XAT 2021 toppers below.

What After XAT 2021 Result?

All the candidates who have qualified XAT 2021, stand eligible for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) round of XLRI admission process. The institute will start the shortlisting process within a day or two. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of XAT cut off and academic record. To be able to participate in XLRI’s GD/PI round, the candidates will be required to confirm participation by filling the online form for interview city.

The candidates must not that XAT cut off percentiles are different for BM, HRM and GMP programmes as well as categories. XAT cut offs for BM programme are different for male and female candidates. For HRM programme, the cut offs are different for male-engineering, female engineering, male non-engineering and female non-engineering candidates.

Overall cut off (male) for BM programme for 2020 admission was 95 percentile. For, HRM (male-engineer) it was 93 percentile.

Q: What is the date of XAT 2021 result announcement?

A: The IIFT 2021 result was announced on January 18 on the official website of NTA. The candidates can also download their result from the XLRI website.

Q: Who is the topper of XAT 2021?

A: Farzan Shaikh is the topper of XAT 2021 exam. He scored 99.94 percentile. A few more students have scored 99+ percentile in XAT 2021. They are, Rishabh Bajpayi (99.85 percentile), Ravi Prinshu (99.85 percentile) and Pranjal Choudhary ((99.81 percentile).

A: Candidates can download their XAT result cum scorecard from the official website of XAT 2021 or XLRI by using their exam ID and password. Candidates must note that hardcopy of the scorecard will not be sent to any candidate by post.

Q: Is there any provision of rechecking or revaluation in XAT?

A: No, there is no provision of rechecking or revaluation in XAT. Marks mentioned on the XAT result cum scorecard are final and will not be changed under any circumstances. To improve the score, candidates can take the exam again in the next session.

Q: What after XAT result?

A: After the announcement of XAT result, the XLRI Jamshedpur starts shortlisting process of candidates for group discussion and personal interview round. The candidates have to fill an online application form to confirm their participation in this round.

Q: What is the selection process of XLRI?

A: The XLRI selection process includes three stages:

  •   Shortlisting of candidates on the basis of XAT score
  •   Group discussion and personal interview
  •   Final selection and preparation of merit list

This year, however, group discussion has been scrapped due to COVID-19 pandemic and personal interview will be conducted online.

Q: What is the admission cut off for XLRI 2021 batch?

A: The minimum admission cut off for 2021 batch (Business Management) is 94 percentile for Male candidates and 92 for female candidates. For SC, the cut off is 65 and for ST it is 60 percentile. For Human Resource Management course, the cut off is 93 for male engineer and 90 for male non-engineer. 90 for female engineer and 87 for female non engineer. For SC, the cut off is 65 and for ST it is 60 percentile.

Q: If I don’t clear the XAT cut off, will I still be considered or admission?

A: No, if a candidate does not clear the minimum XAT cut off fixed for admission in that particular year, they will not be shortlisted for further selection round.

Q: When will the GD/PI for XAT 2021 admissions take place?

A: The GD/PI round for XLRI admissions will takes place in March. The shortlisted candidates are informed about GD/PI schedule and venue via email.

Q: Is it beneficial to add work experience in XAT form?

A: Yes, it is beneficial to add work experience in XAT form as the admissions committee takes into consideration, the number of years of work experience while preparing the final list of candidates.

A: The weightage of Class 10 and 12 in IIFT admission 2021 is 10 points. The Class 10 and 12 scores are taken into consideration only during shortlisting process.
