Practising XAT question papers equips the candidate with the skill and experience to solve all types of questions – tough, easy, lengthy, tricky - with ease and confidence. XAT 2023 will be conducted in the first week of January so candidates can solve a good number of XAT question papers from September to December. XAT 2022 Question Paper

XAT 2022 exam was held on January 2, 2022. Difficulty level of the question paper was similar to previous years. However, there was a new addition this year. The reintroduction of Essay Writing.   • There is negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer

  • There will be deduction of 0.5 marks incase of eight consecutive unanswered questions

  • There is no negative marking for unanswered questions

XAT 2018 Question Paper

The XAT 2018 question paper was of moderate difficulty. There were some really tough Verbal Ability questions and a few tricky ones in Decision Making. The question paper was divided into two parts. Part 1 consisted of QA-DI, VA and DM while Part 2 had GK and Essay Writing. XAT 2017 Question Paper

The XAT 2017 question paper was of moderate difficulty level. The QA-DI section was easier than previous year but still challenging. There were 17 questions of QA and most of them were from Geometry and Algebra. In DI, there were eight questions, one table based and another based on grid and histogram. Two questions were on caselets. Verbal Ability section was easier than usual but Decision Making was tougher than previous year. The XAT 2016 Question Paper was of high difficulty with moderate Verbal Ability. Questions on Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning were quite tricky. Para Jumble questions were of a moderate level of difficulty. The Decision Making section was of moderate difficulty while the QA-DI section was slightly easier than previous year. Q: What is the composition of XAT question paper?

A: XAT question paper comprises about 100 question in MCQ format. It is divided into four sections – Decision Making, Verbal & Logical Ability, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and General Knowledge.

Q: How many questions will be there in XAT question paper 2023?

A: There will be about 100 questions in XAT 2023. Last year, the question paper consisted of 100 questions – 21 in Decision Making, 26 in Verbal & Logical Ability, 28 in Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation and 25 in General Knowledge. There will be one 250-word essay for which candidates will get 10 minutes extra.

A: Previous years’ XAT question papers are available on Shiksha for free download. Candidates can download XAT questions papers from the tab on the top of this page.

Q: Is solving XAT question paper helpful in exam preparation?

A: Yes, solving XAT question paper is of immense help in exam preparation as one can get an idea of the exam pattern, difficulty level of the questions, and learn time management.

Q: Which section of XAT question paper is lengthiest?

A: It depends upon each candidate which section of XAT exam paper they find lengthy. It also depends on the questions chosen for exam in that particular year. However, it has been seen that DI questions are usually lengthy.

Q: Can I take XAT question paper home after the exam?

A: No. XAT is an online exam thus the hard copy of question paper is not available. The candidates can download and take a print out of the same once it is released along with the answer key.

Q: Can I take a calculator inside the XAT exam hall?

A: No, the candidates cannot carry any electronic item including the calculator to the exam hall. They will be provided pen and paper for rough work by the exam centre staff. 

Q: What is the difficulty level of QA questions in XAT?

A: The Quantitative Ability questions of XAT are usually difficult as it involves calculation and applying tricky formulae to solve them. However, they are not lengthy unlike DI or LR questions.

Q: Is there sectional time-limit in XAT?

A: Yes, there is a sectional time-limit in XAT exam. Candidates have to complete Part 1 of the paper (Verbal Ability, Decision Making and DI-QA sections) in 165 minutes. Time allotted to Part 2 of the paper (GK and Essay Writing) is 25 minutes.

Q: Will all the questions in XAT question paper be in MCQ format?

A: Yes, all the XAT questions will be in MCQ format having four options to choose the right answer from. The candidates will have to register their responses with the help of the computer mouse.

Q: How many questions are there in Quant section of XAT exam?

A: The quant section of XAT exam has 28 questions carrying one mark each. This section has the maximum weightage among all the four sections and the questions of this section are usually on the tougher side.

Your academics are good. You'll get a good college but if you want best college then go for CAT/GMAT/GRE.

You can give GMAT or GRE and if you score a good band, then you have a very high chance of landing in some great college.

I got 66% in 10th, 57% in 12th and 80% in graduation. How much should I score in CAT MAT and XAT to get a decent MBA college?
