Russia Ukraine Crisis: K Annamalai announces helpline to assist Tamil Nadu students
Expressing concerns over the ongoing war situation, Annamalai also shared details on External Affair Ministry helpline numbers stating that the government is on its toes to help the students stuck in Russia Ukraine Crisis.
BJP State president K Annamalai through his official Twitter handle announced that the BJP government has started a helpline to assist students from Tamil Nadu stuck in Ukraine. The politician said, “We understand at this point of time, students from Tamil Nadu might be in Ukraine. For any assistance required, @BJP4TamilNadu will be of help! Contact person: Shri. Chandran. BJP Office Secretary; Phone: +91 6374-709718.”
Helpline for Indians Stuck amid Russia Ukraine Crisis
Expressing concerns over the ongoing war situation, Annamalai also shared details on External Affair Ministry helpline numbers stating that the government is on its toes to help the students stuck in Russia Ukraine Crisis.
MEA control room in Delhi has been expanded and made operational on a 24x7 basis to assist the students and other Indian nationals in Ukraine, amid Russia Ukraine Conflict.
While earlier, the Embassy of India in Ukraine had released the advisory on the Russia Ukraine conflict and urged all the Indian students to leave Ukraine temporarily. The latest advisory released by the Indian Embassy in Kyiv advised Indians to remain wherever they are and not travel to Kyiv.
Since the announcement made by Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding military operation in Ukraine, the concerns of Indian students and parents are continuously on the rise. While a trail of Indian students have returned, there are nearly 20,000 Indian stuck amid Russia Ukraine Crisis.

India's Permanent Representative to UN, TS Tirumurti at UNSC meeting on Ukraine said that over 20,000 Indian students are in Ukraine, we are facilitating the return of all Indian nationals including students as we may be required.
