Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release SSC Stenographer 2020 notification today (August 4). Along with the notification, the application form will also be released. The last date of application is September 3. 

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will release SSC Stenographer 2020 notification today (August 4). Along with the notification, the application link will be activated. Candidates can fill SSC Stenographer application form till September 3. The Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted from December 1 to 3.

SSC conducts an Open Competitive Computer Based Examination for recruitment of SSC Stenographer Grade C (Group B Non-Gazetted) and Stenographer Grade D (Group C) for various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. Only those candidates who have required skills in stenography are eligible to apply.

SSC Stenographer Eligibility Criteria

Candidates need to meet the following eligibility criteria:

Age Limit: For Stenographer Grade C post, the age of candidates should be between 18 to 30 years. For Stenographer Grade D post, the age of candidates should be between 18 to 27 years. Relaxation in the age limit is provided to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

Educational qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board.

How to apply for SSC Stenographer?

Candidates can fill SSC Stenographer application form 2020 in the following way.

• Visit the official website of SSC
• Click the ‘Registration link’ on the home page
• To register, candidates need to enter basic details, additional details, contact details and upload scanned images of photograph and signature
• On confirmation, registration number and password will be generated
• Click ‘Apply’ link in ‘Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination’ section under the latest notifications tab
• Choose SSC Stenographer exam centres
• Select the medium of exam
• Select the post
• After entering details, click on ‘I Agree’ checkbox
• Proceed to pay the application fees that is Rs 100. Women, SC, ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from fee payment
• Take printout of the application form and fee receipt
