CUET UG 2026 will be conducted for May 21, Shift 1 and Shift 2 in Computer Based Test mode. The National Testing Agency is administering Common University Entrance Test 2026 at multiple exam centres across India and abroad. The exam has been scheduled between May 11 and May 31, 2026. CUET 2026 May 21 Shift 1 will end at 12 PM and Shift 2 will end at 6 PM. Yes, the CUET UG 2026 examination follows a negative marking scheme. Candidates will lose 1 mark for every incorrect answer marked in the exam.

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2025-26, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates scoring above 700 may fall in the category of 95+ percentile. Candidates can get admission to top central universities like University of Delhi, Banaras Hindu University, Jawaharlal Nehru University and other universities in the desired course. Given below is the range that is considered good for admission:
The difficulty level of the CUET exam varies between moderate and tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. While for the well-prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side.
CUET UG question paper for each subject will consist of 50 questions. Candidates will be required to attempt all questions and no optional questions will be provided. In CUET UG 2026 there are 37 subjects- 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and general tests. While filling the CUET application form, candidates can select upto five CUET subjects aligning with the subjects studied in class 12th and course requirement.
Candidates must attempt all the questions of the subjects selected. However, candidates must keep in mind the negative marking and select the options carefully.
