UP CNET 2026 Exam Day Instructions

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University will conduct the UP CNET 2026 exam on June 6. The ABVMU released the UP CNET information bulletin on its official portal - https://www.abvmucet26.co.in/ on March 28 and notified all the important information about the UP CNET 2026 exam.

The University will conduct the UP CNET 2026 exam in offline (OMR-based) mode. The candidates will be asked to mark their answers on the OMR sheet provided at the examination centre. The UP CNET exam is an objective-type exam where the candidates will be asked to select one from given options. 

The University expect the candidates to follow the UP CNET exam day instructions and refrain from using unfair means and carrying the prohibited Items. Let us see each of them in detail.

UP CNET 2026 Shift Timing

The ABVMU will conduct the exam in a single shift at the designated exam centres across the state. The candidates should reach at the UP CNET examination centre as per the details mentioned in the admit card. The candidates can see the UP CNET 2026 Shift timing below:

UP CNET 2026 Exam Day Instructions

The Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University provided detailed exam day instructions in the information bulletin. The candidates must follow these instructions on the UP CNET 2026 exam day. Some of the most important instructions are given below:

  • Reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the UP CNET admit card
  • Frisking can be done at the examination centre, so the candidates are advised to cooperate with the officials
  • Do not carry any unnecessary documents or pieces of paper to the exam centre
  • Carry two black ballpoint pens to mark the answers in OMR
  • Any Communication device will not be allowed at the examination centre
  • The candidates are advised to wear minimal jewellery in case unavoidable
  • Do not open the Question paper booklet until asked for.
  • The candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination hall during the exam.

The above instructions are not exhaustive. The candidates are advised to obey the instructions given by the invigilator and exam officials at the examination centre.

Documents to Carry on UP CNET 2026 Exam Centre

The candidates are suggested to carry the following documents with them on the exam day

  • Coloured printout of UP CNET 2026 Admit Card
  • Original Photo Identity Card
  • 2 Photographs (Passport-sized) in case is the image in the attendance form is not clear

List of Valid Photo Identity Cards

The following photo identity cards will be allowed in the UP CNET exam 2026.

  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport
  • PAN Card
  • Driving License
  • School/College ID issued by the Principal or Proctor 
  • Identity card issued by the Government Department

The candidates must carry any one of them in its original.

UP CNET 2026 List of Prohibited Items

The candidates should not carry the following prohibited items inside the UP CNET exam centre

  • Mobile phone, smartwatch, Bluetooth earphones, pager, or any wearable device that connects to the internet or stores data
  • Calculator, pen drives, electronic scanner, or any gadget
  • Written notes, printed material, loose papers, or sticky notes of any kind
  • Any food item
  • Jewellery and metallic accessories — rings, bangles, chains, earrings
  • Camera

The exam centre officials will ask the candidates not to carry any of the above items with them to the examination centre.

What Constitutes Unfair Means in the UP CNET 2026 Exam?

The ABVMU also notified what constitutes unfair means in the information bulletin. The candidates can check the details of such unfair means below:

  • Carrying prohibited items in the examination hall
  • Copying anything from another candidate(s) or helping others
  • Tampering with the OMR sheet, such as writing one's name on it, making some identification marks and the like.
  • Taking the OMR sheet out of the examination hall

In case it is established that the candidate used unfair means, he or she can be barred for up to three years from appearing in any exam conducted by ABVMU.

Subjects that must be studied are class 11 & 12 NCERT book in Physics. Topics that should be covered are Current electricity, Optics, Atomic Structure and more. They must prepare short notes on each topic.
