ELIGIBILITY FOR TET
 The following persons shall be eligible for appearing in the TET:
i. A person who has acquired the academic and professional qualifications specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
ii. A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010.
iii. The eligibility condition for appearing in TET may be relaxed in respect of a State/UT which has been granted relaxation under sub-section (2) of section 23 of the RTE Act. The relaxation will be specified in the Notification issued by the Central Government under that sub-section.

TAT EXAM ELIGIBILITY

Candidates must meet the specified eligibility criteria to apply for the Gujarat TAT 2026 examination. This includes requirements related to nationality, age limit, and educational qualifications. Ensure all conditions are fulfilled before submitting your application.

Nationality

Candidates applying for the Gujarat TAT 2026 must be citizens of India.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold the educational and training qualifications prescribed by the state government for appearing in the Teacher Aptitude Test (Higher Secondary). These qualifications are subject to amendments from various Education Department resolutions. As per the latest resolution (July 15, 2023) for Higher Secondary teachers, candidates require an M.A./M.Sc./M.Com./M.R.S. degree with an Integrated B.Ed. A Post Graduate degree combined with an Integrated M.Ed. is also considered valid. Students in the final year of their Post-Graduate degree or professional qualification (B.Ed.) during the academic year 2025-26 are also eligible to apply conditionally. They must submit their final year mark sheet showing successful completion of the relevant qualification by the time of the teacher recruitment process.
