B.Sc. in Chemistry colleges in Calicut

Admission to the BSc course at Calicut University is entrance-based. The minimum eligiblity required to apply for the course is Class 12 or its equivalent with a minimum aggregate of 45%-70% from a recognised university. However, as admissions are entrance-based, students are required to secure a valid score in the accepted entrance exams such to be eligible for the BSc course admission. In case a candidate does not score enough, or wants to consider other options for BSc admissions, they can always opt for other colleges offering online BSc course.

CUSAT admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programme is based on CUSAT CAT score. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. After completion of selection rounds, CUSAT releases a rank list based on total marks secured in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. A separate rank list is released for selected Integrated BSc-MSc specialisation. Based on the rank list, aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round.

Opening cut-off: 45-50%

Closing cut-off: 60-65%

• For OBC category students:

Opening cut-off: 40-45%

Closing cut-off: 55-60%

• For SC/ST category students:

Opening cut-off: 35-40%

Closing cut-off: 50-55%

• For programs like Computer Science, cut-offs tend to be higher by 2-3% than other BSc programs.
• Cut-offs also depend on the number of applications received and availability of seats.

Admission to a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in several fields is provided by Vimala College. Candidates must have at least 45% or higher in Part III of any undergraduate degree from this university, or an equivalent degree (50% marks for the reserved category), in order to be considered for admission to UG courses, which are administered online.Selection for postgraduate courses is made on the basis of performance in the entrance exam, which is followed by an interview with the institute.
