You may get into the univeristy with 60% in Class 12, however, this depends on several factors. Uttaranchal University UG admissions require students to pass Class 12 in a relevant stream and with specified aggregate. The aggregate usually ranges from 42% to 50% (based on the course and category). Hence, yes, 60% is certainly enough to clear that criteria. However, as admission to certain courses, such as BTech are done on an entrance basis, students need to provide scores obtained in the accepted exam to be eligible for admission. According to Doon University’s rule, students must maintain a minimum of 75% attendance to appear in the end-semester examinations.

In exceptional cases, the Vice-Chancellor may allow the shortage of attendance to the extent of 5% and that too on the recommendation of the HoD concerned according to the conditions laid down by the Academic Council.

Students whose total attendance is less than 75% will not be allowed to appear in the end semester examination and will be declared fail for that semester and year accordingly.

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University offers admission to candidates mainly based on CUET scores of the candidates. The university accepts CUET-UG for BTech, BA, BPharm, etc. and CUET-PG for most of the PG courses. Aspirants are allotted seat via CUET Counselling after the release of merit. Hence, direct admission is usually not offered at HNBGU.

The university has not released the official placement report for the year 2023. However, as per placement report 2021, a total of 38 Diploma in Hotel Administration students were placed during UOU placement 2021. Students were placed in top companies such as Grand Hyatt Kochi, The Leela Group of Hotels and among others during placement 2021.
