GECET 2026: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

GECET stands for the Graphic Era Common Entrance Test. It is an institutional assessment designed to minimize the financial strains of higher education by offering merit fee waivers. The exam allows student applicants to target technical fields, computer applications, and business administration programs within the Graphic Era Group of Institutions campuses.

The exam body, Graphics Era will release the GECET application form 2027 on its official website. Candidates interested to apply for the exam must visit the direct link to apply. To fill the application form, they must go to the direct link - https://apply.geu.ac.in While filliing the application form, students will have to fill in their details, upload the necessary docuements and pay the prescribed fee in online mode.

GECET Online Application Form

Candidates can fill the online application form by going to geu.ac.in. They must register, fill the form, upload the documents and pay the application fee. Once the application fee payment of INR 1500 is done, candidates automatically become eligible for GECET.

The online application form can be filled either through the dedicated GECET portal or through the application portal at geu.ac.in or gehu.ac.in, depending on the preference of the candidates.

Offline Application Form of GECET

Candidates can purchase the GECET application form from the Graphic Era campuses or admission centres for the same cost of INR 1500. Candidates must then fill the online application, upload a scanned copy of the offline application form, and include the custom serial number printed on the form.

Since the candidates had already paid the application fee while purchasing the offline application form, they need not pay the fee again while submitting the form online.

Candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board to apply for GECET 2027. Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The candidates must have scored above the minimum aggregate marks in the qualifying exam, this will vary for the course the candidates want to apply.

Candidates appearing for Class 12 exam are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam. They must fulfil the eligibility criteria at the time of admission.

As per the exam pattern of GECET 2027, the test will be conducted online as a remote proctores test. Candidates can take the exam in a laptop or desktop from their homes.

For BTech admission, the quetsion paper will a total 100 questions from Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and fundamentals of Computer Science. Total duration of the exam will be 2 hours.

2. Data Structures & Algorithms (Basics):- Searching: Linear Search and Binary Search, Sorting: Bubble Sort and Insertion Sort, Abstract Data Types: Basic understanding of Stacks (LIFO) and Queues (FIFO), Dry Running: Predicting the output of given code snippets (Testing logical accuracy)
3. Database Management (SQL):- Concepts: Introduction to Databases, Keys (Primary, Candidate, Foreign Keys), SQL Commands: CREATE, DROP, ALTER. SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, Functions: Aggregate functions (SUM, AVG, COUNT, MAX, MIN).
4. Logical Reasoning & Pseudo-code:- Pattern Recognition: Completing sequences or identifying logical errors in flowcharts, Pseudo-code interpretation: Solving logicbased problems presented in plain English rather than a specific programming language.
