Visva Bharati University is good for agriculture courses.

Placements: Placements are good. Every year, 4 out of 5 students are placed with a minimum salary of Rs. 20000 per month, and the highest salary offered is Rs. 30000 per month. Placement cells need more improvement. Our head is not so good. He is not guiding us properly, but he is trying to some extent. Internships are not available.

Infrastructure: It is a good college. Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day. The library is excellent. The hostel is very good, with a mess and a canteen. Medical facilities are always available, but games and sports are not so good. The classrooms are good.

Faculty: Our faculty members are very friendly and support us every time. Semester exams are conducted on time and results are published at the proper time. The course curriculum is quite good. They help students a lot. The pass percentage of the semester is 50%, and 70% is the first class. Exams are OGPA-based. It makes students industry-ready.

Department of agronomy, PSB, Visva Bharathi.

Placements: After the completion of masters, many of the students opt for the PhD program in the higher institution. PhD degree is also available. Some of our seniors have joined the private company pursuing salary of 35k to 40K per month. Here capacity for masters is 15 students in each batch. Also, many of them got NET, SRF, etc. Many of the students also joined banking sector as special officers, i.e. equivalent to assistant manager. Regarding stipend, no such facility is here from Visva Bharati.

Infrastructure: The hostel facility is okay but not very good. Fooding is not good. In the college, the lab facility is okay. I think the laboratory should be well-equipped with the more advanced instrument, which needed for a master degree student. The Wi-Fi is there in college, but not in the hostel. The medical facility is good. Apart from study, sports facility is well-equipped.

Faculty: The faculty are very much cooperative and friendly. For 15 students, there are 9 faculty members, which is good enough. We have visited many watershed projects nearby areas. They are highly qualified. Some of them are from IARI, and also ARS certified. The course curriculum is very much appreciatable for a master degree candidate. Teaching method includes class teaching, detection, projector teaching, and also field exposure.

Other: It is a very good institute. I never thought that the lab would be fully functional during my tenure. Also, a number of practical should be done, especially in water management course. Regarding plant physiology, the lab is not sufficient. Otherwise, it is a very nice experience here at the department of agronomy, PSB, Visva Bharathi.
