Hello Renish Sonani, Aah! Aircraft maintenance engineering. This is the stream wish presently ensures almost hundred percent placement after passing out. This is one industry in India which is growing almost at the rate of 15% per annum. Civil air passenger traffic as well as cargo traffic both are showing uptrend. This in turn has resulted in civil airlines purchasing a large number of aircraft and this in turn has fuelled the requirement of aircraft maintenance engineers. Hence I feel that in the foreseeable future the professionals in this field will have a great time and those were passing put will get almost assured placement. Bes

Hello Sai,
Presently in India, the situation for Aeronautical engineers as far as placements are concerned is not very good. There are only few government entities who require aeronautical engineers like ISRO or DRDO or armed forces. On the other hand the requirement of mechanical engineers is there at all times and in future too is expected to sustain. In view of the foregoing I have no hesitation in recommending that you should select mechanical engineering as compared with aeronautical engineering from the perspective of placements.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Gangadhar,
Acharya Institute of Technology is a very well known Institute in Bangalore. It admits students based on KCET or COMEDK rankings. Closing ranks of aeronautical engineering branch has closed around 10000 KCET rank. But then it is a dynamic figure and depends on students choices in the current year.
Best wishes to you.

Hello Sanskriti Sharma,
Placements in aeronautical engineering branch in best of the times are also not very good. In a larger perspective, this ultimately depends on the industrial and economic climate of the countries. Presently in India, the core jobs of Aeronautical Engineering graduates are perhaps available only in ISTO or DRDO or to some extent with the armed forces. The aerospace industry in India has not yet developed to an extent where it can absorb all those who are passing out from this branch. The net result is that the graduates of this branch are doing MBA or get some government job based on graduation or go abroad for do

Hello Naveenkumar,
Opting for aeronautical engineering branch is a very tough decision. The placements are not assured. The aerospace industry in India is still in its infancy. Perhaps DRDO and ISRO are the employers in the core area alongside armed forces to an extent. Majority of students then proceed for MBA or MS abroad. However, the decision has to be yours.
Best wishes to you.
