Applicants can take admission to the Anna University BSc course without an entrance exam. Because the university accepts the Class 12 scores for admissions to BSc courses and releases the merit after evaluating the applicants' scores. Moreover, those who qualify for this primary eligibility criterion must participate in the TANCET counselling for final selection.

The total fees for pursuing BTech at Anna University is around INR 13.93 Lacs - INR 25.47 lakh. This fee amount has been obtained from adding the tuition fee for BTech at Anna University which INR 13 lakh, Hostel fees which is between INR 4.,700 - INR 12 lakh, one time payments which total between INR 5,000 and INR 24,500 and other fees which total to INR 9,600 - INR 22,800.

The TNEA 2025 Cutoff will be released after each round of counselling, which is expected to start on July 14th and will continue till August 19th, 2025. The DoTE also released the TNEA 2025 Rank list on 27th June 2025.

The CSE branch cutoff is expected to be between 198 and 200 marks for candidates in the general category, between 195 and 199 for ECE, and between 192-197 for mechanical for major universities like Anna University.

To get admission into the MCA programme at Anna University, candidates must appear for the TANCET exam conducted by Anna University itself. Eligibility requires a bachelor's degree with Mathematics at 10+2 or graduation level. After TANCET results, centralized counselling (TANCA) is conducted where candidates select preferred colleges and courses. The tuition fee for the two-year MCA programme is approximately rupees sixty thousand to rupees one lakh, excluding hostel and other charges. Seats are limited, and cutoffs vary annually based on competition.
