Applications for NID DAT 2026 will open in September 2025 (tentatively). Candidates who have passed or will appear for higher secondary (10+2) qualifying examinations in the academic year 2025–26 in any stream (Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities etc.) from any recognised board of education such as CBSE, IB, ICSE or equivalent could apply.

The eligibility criteria for MAH B.Des CET is given below.
Must be an Indian national.
Passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 45% (40% for reserved categories).

Yes, all candidates who have cleared Class 12 board exams are eligible to apply for BDes courses at INSD Kolkata. Candidates who have cleared Class 12 with Arts stream are also eligible to apply for this course.

A candidate is eligible to apply for FDDI's B.Des programmes if they have:
a) Passed 10+2 in any stream from a recognised board; or
b) Passed an examination recognised by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as equivalent to 10+2 (Indian or foreign board); or
c) Passed the Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) with at least five subjects.

The primary eligibility requirement for admission to the BDes course at Jindal School of Design and Architecture is that candidates must complete their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, a minimum of 50% marks in any of the following recognised design entrance examinations—Jindal Creative Aptitude Test or submission of NID/ UCEED score. Moreover, for one of the BDes courses of the Jindal School of Design & Architecture—BDes in Interior Environment Westminster Pathway—candidates are also required to achieve a decent score in IELTS too.

Candidates seeking admission to the BDes course offered by Somaiya School of Design, supported by Riidl must meet the course-specific eligibility requirements. As per the admission brochure 2025, students who have completed Class 12 from any recognised board with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are eligible to apply for the BDes course.

Yes, BDes in Animation generally requires students to pass Class 12 from a recognised university with the required percentage for admission. Most of the popular government and private colleges in India demand at least 50% marks in Class 12 for accepting admission to the Bachelor of Design course in Animation.
