Students have to qualify Class XII from any stream to be eligible to seek entry into design colleges for the Bachelor of Design course, completing five subjects along with English and Mathematics and the fifth subject that can vary from college to college based on requirements.

The applicants seeking admission for the B.Des programme to IIFD Chandigarh should have passed the 10+2 class from any recognised board securing aggregate marks of at least 50%. English would be one of the subjects. Above all, the applicant will be able to show enthusiasm and keen interest in design and innovation and creativity. Hi.Satyam Fashion Institute's B.Des. is a 4 years course offered at the UG level. Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognised board.

Satyam Fashion Institute conducts an entrance exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in the month of April /May each year.CET comprises of Creative Ability Test (CAT) 60%, General Ability Test (GAT) 10% and Situation Test 10% . Aspirants appear for the Personal Interview ( 20%) round post CET on the same day .
