The allocation of BDes seats at NIFT Mumbai is subject to rules of reservation set by the institute. As per NIFT's reservation policy, 22.5% of the seats are reserved for the admission of SC/ST category students to its BDes course. Out of which, 15% of seats are reserved for SC students and 7.5% are reserved for the admission of ST students.

Those eho want admission in NIFT Mumbai BDes course need to fulfil eligibility requirements. Students must have completed Class 12 from any recognised board to be eligible to apply. Other than this, a candidate's age must be less than 24 years as of 1st August of the year of admission.

Candidates who have completed Class 12 in any stream with English as a compulsory subject with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for Reserved Class category candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) are eligible to apply for BDes course at School of Design, MIT WPU Pune. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

Alliance School of Design BDes eligibility criteria requires students to pass Class 12 from a recognised board with a minimum aggregate of 50% (40% aggregate for SC/ ST students). Additionally, students also need to appear for the Alliance University Design Aptitude Test (AUDAT) followed by the AU Interview. Once selected, studnets need to pay the admission fees of the coures and complete the process.

Eligibility for B.Des in Fashion Design at NIFD Global, Kondhwa is to have a 10+2 degree from a recognised board. Admission will be based on merit, and candidates need to submit required documents for verification during the application procedure. The programme lasts four years and aims at enhancing creative and technical skills in fashion design. There is direct admission if seats are vacant, but selection on the basis of merit in case applications outstrip the intake capacity. This course is with Medhavi University and includes industry-oriented training.

To be eligible for admission for Bachelor of Design B.des programme at IVS School of Design Noida candidates must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognised university.
Also candidates have to appear and achieve good rank in the TDV Entrance Exam afterwards selected students have to appear for an Interview which is the final stage of selection process. Selected students can take admission in the college. For more information contact the admission cell of college.

Aspirants who have passed Class 12 in any stream from any recognised board or any School or Board or University examination in India or in foreign country recognised by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to Class 12 system can apply for Footwear Design and Development Institute, Patna BDes programme. Aspirants who have passed School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects; or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved three-years full time Diploma after Class 10 offered by Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory can also apply.

The selection criteria for the BDes programme at FDDI Hyderabad are academic merit, primarily assessed on the basis of FDDI AIST performance. Candidates must apply online and sit for the AIST exam, which is the minimum requirement of the selection process. Based on AIST scores, a merit list is prepared, and only deserving candidates are shortlisted for admission.
