Placement Statistics of CU on the whole.

CU had 9,124 in the engineering placement drives (batch 2023-24) and other programs.


In 2024-25, the engineering companies that took part in the placement season are more than 240.


Core-companies visiting on Mechanical and allied branches have been on the increase too.


Specifics of Mechanical Engineering.

Mechanical is lower than CSE / ECE in terms of average median / average package. As an example in 2023, constitutional data indicates:

Good performers also have higher offers. In the Mechanical division, the following are recent best packages reported: 11 LPA (Energy Exemplar India).

There are cases of Rs 3 LPA as the lowest packages of mechanical can. 


Recruiters & Types of Roles

Mechanical Engineering students are recruited into core / manufacturing companies and big companies in the related disciplines. A few of the companies quoted: Ashok Leyland, Yamaha Motors, Alstom Transport etc.


The positions are apparently mostly in design, manufacturing, R&D support, quality, etc., core engineering positions can be found, particularly with good project / academic credentials.


Facilities & Support

CU purports to have contemporary laboratories, fine facilities, and equipment such as CNC, simulator software, etc. in the hands of Mechanical undergraduates. These assist students to be industry-enabled.

Internships and industry tie-ups are also emphasized upon.
