At the time of filling out the NIFT application process for the BFTech course, candidates are required to attach several important documents in digital form. Moreover, candidates are required to submit some of the following documents at the time of document verification. Some of the important documents include:
- Certificates of qualifying examination
- In case the candidate has appeared for the qualifying examination and the result is due, the candidate can bring the admit card or date sheet.
- Proof of DOB
- Caste Certificate with candidate's name
- Medical certificate to be signed by a registered medical practitioner in prescribed format.

Bachelor's of Fashion Technology is a four-year undergraduate course, divided into four semesters, and offered in full-time mode. The institute offers one specialsaition in the BFTech course, i.e., Apparel Production. Lateral entry to this course is also available. The primary eligibility criteria required by the institute to get admission into this course is candidates must complete their Class 12 with a PCM stream. The mean salary package of B.FTech students of NIFT Kangra is about INR 4 Lacs per annum. The topmost reported package goes up to INR 12 Lacs per year, and the minimum is around INR 3 lakhs.
