As on Dec 19, 2025, a total of 69 students were placed out of 108 registered students during VNIT BTech CSE placements 2026. 

During the placement drive 2025, BTech CSE highest and average package stood at 64 LPA and 17.3 LPA. The placement percentage was 93.4%.

The opening and closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 7521 and closing rank was 9480. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 13283 and 13346. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Engineering in IIIT Lucknow is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University will release 6-8 rounds of JEE Main cutoffs for admission to BTech. The cutoffs will be released on a rolling basis, and the seats will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. The cutoffs will be based on the following factors:

  • The JEE Main score of the candidate
  • The category of the candidate
  • The number of seats available in the course

Candidates must visit the official website of the entrance exam to read clear instructions on how to proceed with the counselling process, once the round is released.

For last year, the closing rank for BTech +M.Techin Computer Science Engineering was 15339 which is very close to this range. This was for the general category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut-offs keep changing year on year, it's advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University.

The last year's 2022 cutoff ranks for Discontinued (Feb 2023) -BTech in Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science) at RGPV - Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya other than General category are - 113954 for EWS, 89651 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut-offs also change a lot depending on the All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.
