The total fee for a B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering (CSE) varies a lot depending on the college and its location.

  • In government colleges, fees usually range between INR 1 lakh to INR 3 lakh for the entire 4-year course.

  • In private colleges, it can be higher, anywhere from INR 3 lakh to INR 10 lakh or more for the full program, depending on the institute's reputation and facilities.

If you didn't score well in entrance exams but still want to do B.Tech in CSE, don't worry—many private colleges offer direct admission through management quota based on your 12th marks. Just make sure you meet the basic eligibility (usually 45–50% in PCM). Reach out to colleges directly and apply early for better chances.

For admission in B.Tech CSE through lateral entry you need a Diploma in Engineering on the field you want to avail in B.Tech from a recognised institution and fulfill the eligibility criterias. Also there are many entrance exams that you can give for the same.

There are a total of 30 seats for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering. Candidates are admitted as per the sanctioned seat intake and performance in the selection rounds. It is within the rights of the university to revise its seat count. Moreover, the mentioned seat count is as per the official website/ sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative.

Yes, having a pure Science background is typically the required qualification for B.Tech programs in CSE (Computer Science Engineering) and IT (Information Technology). However, you need to have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in your 12th standard to be eligible. While some private institutions might have alternative eligibility criteria, the general rule is that you need PCM in 12th to be eligible for B.Tech in CSE or IT.
