Both the branches are 2 different streams. If you aim to be a software engineer or if you are a good coder you can opt for VIT. If your aim is to become a mechanical engineer you can opt sastra. Now a days software industry has high demand if they study well they can get job easily that is not the case for mechanical engineering.

The scope of mechanical engineers in India are very bright. Students who complete mechanical engineering have a lot of opportunities in the areas of aerospace, automobile, chemical manufacturing plants, railway coach factory, oil exploration, research and development, etc. Let me share the experience of my friend who is a mechanical engineer. He did B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently, he is working with XL Dynamics with a decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true f

Hello Vishnu Priya, It's Indeed very nice to hear from you that you are interested in doing post graduation in mathematics after completion of your graduation in engineering. Many universities do allow engineering graduates to seek admission for M.Sc. In mathematics. However to be on safer side I would like you to download the brochure of the university under which you intend to do your M.Sc. And SEE for yourself as to the different criteria for admission in this course. Best wishes to you.

It depends on colleges, Not only colleges, sometimes it's in states too! For studying on higher reputation colleges like NIT IIT u need to spend about 10 Lacs per 4 years! Whereas in state engineering colleges sometimes it's up to 10 Lacs but based on entrance exam marks reimbursement is there. If you prefer universities like VIT SRM, it costs about 12 to 15 per 4 years.
