There are various kind of jobs that depends company to company. If you choose service based company, then you will be working on networking and related stuffs and if you choose product based companies, then you will be more focused on coding and programming and you will be termed as a software engineer. I hope it will help.

B.Tech is more attractive to employers that a BCA. Before you will do your MCA, your B.Tech will be completed and thereafter, a job cannot be claimed.

It totally depends on your interest. First ask yourself that for which one, you are made for. First make a deep analysis of yourself and then you will observe certain special characteristics in yourself and then decide that those one are suitable for which stream. It's that simple.

Hi Ravi,
Of course, you can. However, I fail to understand why do you want to do your B.Tech from IIT if your ultimate aim is to become a host with Fox Traveler. I mean you have your career plan quite sorted so why the additional effort of an engineering student. You can do your Bachelors in mass communication, learn a few foreign languages, learn production etc. Anyways it's your choice. But yes, you can pursue your desired course. Take part in events and activities during your college days and demonstrate your skill from now onwards.

Well, you can go for MBA if you want to enhance your job skills which will give you an edge during company placement or you can sit for GATE.
Also, there are several vacancies in different organisations/departments (namely ISRO, Naval Academy, ONGC, IOC, etc.)
All the best.
