Yes, for the regular BTech course, HITAM offers 70% of the seats in the BTech course through EAPCET + Counselling and the other 30% of the seats for the management category. Admission for these 30% of the seats is merit-based; candidates can directly apply for the course through the official website of the institute. Moreover, the admission process for merit-based admission might include a written test and PI.

Yes, NRI students can apply for the integrated twinning programme at HITAM. Students who are US citizens will obviously not require a visa to go to the US for the last two years. Citizens of other countries will be required to apply for a visa depending on their country of citizenship and what that country's visa requirements are for entry to the US.

Yes, candidates can get admission to regular BTech courses at HITAM on the basis of merit. According to the information available on the official website of the institute, HITAM offers 30% of the management seats in the BTech course on the basis of merit. Rest, 70% of seats are filled through the EAPCET, followed by counseling. For merit-based admission, candidates can apply directly through the official website of the institute. However, in merit-based admission, candidates might be required to go through a written test, followed by a PI.

The eligibility criteria for BTech courses at HITAM vary for the regular BTech course and the Integrated-Twinning-Programme. Moreover, the selection process also differs. Check out the detailed overview in the below table: 

BTech Regular BTech Integrated Twinning Programme 
Eligibility Criteria- Candidates must complete their Class 12 in PCM or Diploma in Engineering Eligibility Criteria- Candidates must have compelted their Class 12 with a minimum aggregate of 70% and must have studied Class 10 and 12 in English-medium only. 
Selection Criteria- 70% of seats are filled through the EAPCET + Counselling. Rest, 30% of seats are reserved for admissions based on merit + selection process (the selection process may include a written test and personal interview). Selection Criteria- JEE Mains/ any state common entrance examination in engineering/ BITSAT/ other national or international engineering entrance examinations/ SAT, followed by a statement of intent (300 to 400 words) + PI.
